Check the brass insert page/link above. Brace yourself. It's a big catalogue. You'll need to look up the specs of the specific insert to see what metric insert fits #227 Evergreen styrene tubing.

I just ordered matching 4-40 screws on the same order with the 4-40 brass inserts. 4-40 is very common and fits the 227 tubing perfectly.

I know the inserts and screws are dirt cheap. Let me know what they quote you for shipping? It's worth investigating.
