Wavegreen Good Morning,

Updated Overall Points for Rounds 1-7

Pitlane Review Rounds 1-7
Many thanks to Paul and Steve Hills (Truspeed Controllers) for running Round 7, also for Paul for finding out that the Interior had dropped on my Honda Civic causing it to act as a brake which slowed it down on the last couple of Rounds.
This was the last Plastic track in this proxy series, the remaining 3 are routed wood but very different in nature I think.

Tourist (Event 1 )
1st Place -Savage GT - Mustang ( 135pts)
2nd Place - Brumos RSR - Porsche 911 ( 98pts)
3rd Place - RoadRunners - Galaxie ( 89pts)
After an initial bit of excitement of the RoadRunners Team seeing the Galaxie posted as 1st on the Podium by mistake, the error was quickly rectified and the RoadRunners had to settle for 2nd Place, which was indeed great to see it slightly ahead of the Porsche of Brumos RSR for this round.
The Mustang of Savage GT looking unbeatable at this point in the series.

Grand ( Event 2)
1st Place - Bangers Racing - BMW 3.0CSL ( 130pts)
2nd Place - Deadheads - Rover SD1 ( 72pts)
3rd Place Brumos RSR - BMW 2.8 (67pts)
Bangers Racing BMW able to extend its lead over the runners up, the Deadheads Rover SD1 proving less consistent on this Plastic track. Brumos BMW in a real battle for 3rd place with Makem Movers Camaro just 2 points between them.

Super (Event 3)
1st Place - Savage GT - Calibra (107pts)
2nd Place - WVSAM - Nissan Skyline (93pts)
3rd Place - Mountain View - BMW M3 ( 62pts)
The 1st and 2nd place cars drawing away from the rest of the field, Sam's Skyline keeping the pressure on the Calibra of Savage GT.

Modern (Event 4)
1st Place - Deadheads - Audi A5 (126pts)
2nd Place - Bangers Racing - Alfa 156 ( 78pts)
3rd Place - Mountain View - Astra ( 72pts)
Deadheads Audi A5 looks like it has this Event in the bag, but Bangers Racing Alfa 156 continues to improve as it has throughout this series, now taken 2nd place from Mountain View. RoadRunners back on form looking like they may yet regain 3rd place with the Honda Civic with only 4pts behind the Astra.

Class A Constructed Cars
1st Place - Mountain View - Astra (125pts)
2nd Place - ManxEd - Calibra ( 102pts)
3rd Place -Team Tatters - Honda Civic ( 80pts)
On its home track the Astra did not appear to get so much advantage in the Event, but still gained enough points in the Class contest to increase it's lead.

Class B Constructed Cars
1st Place - Deadheads - Audi A5 ( 101pts)
2nd Place - Bangers Racing - BMW 3.0CSL (93pts)
3rd Place - Mountain View - BMW M3 ( 75pts)
The Audi A5 has leapfrogged over the BMW 3.0CSL of Bangers Racing to take 1st place, but this could all change again in the last 3 rounds.

Class C Constructed Cars
1st Place - Savage GT - Calibra (106pts)
2nd Place - WVSAM - Nissan Skyline ( 96pts)
3rd Place - Team Tatters - Calibra ( 80pts)
Looking like a close battle between the Calibra and the Nissan Skyline for the top spot in this Class.

Best Team
1st Place - Savage GT (415pts)
2nd Place - Deadheads (343pts)
3rd Place - Mountain View & Bangers Racing (334pts)
Savage GT just extending the lead over the runners a little, Deadheads, Mountain View & Bangers Racing all very close together.

Fastest Lap

So the cars are now on their way down South to the Woodland Fort Club, which based on previous Series should give us some interesting results. The round is planned to be run on Thursday evening.

I hope everything went OK at the hospital Graham, getting measured up for a full throttle relay in your trigger finger Dirtbike

Gradually on the mend, very sore but at least pointing in the right direction  Sun

The cars are now in the Plymouth vicinity and should be with our host from Woodland Fort Slot Car club shortly.

There will be a delay of a week before the Round 8 is completed.
Due to unforeseen circumstances the Woodland Fort club could only run the 1st 2 Events last night, so the remaining two Event will be run next Thursday evening.
The Round 9 at NERCS Club will go ahead as planned on the 5th December.
