Top ten ranking OXO, you have got to be pleased with that!

I've compared my car spec to the top ranked ones and can see some divergence in a few areas. Something to focus on if I am going to step up next time, like you have.

yes Jeremy . i am buzzin mate !!!!!!

that car just sneaked through its 1st ever shoot out  . but was stone last in the last series
this time amazingly it has exactly the same tyres . same motor . same hard chassis . same body float . same interior . wheels . axles . same everything .....
wish i could find the data sheet from last time

except for :-

1 tooth dropped in the gearing ( to try and calm it down and give better brakes )  ( ppl kept saying the car was really fast . which in my mind meant it was 'too fast' )
the long 'slotting plus' universal guide ( changed from an Avant guide ) ( bad move here i think )
slotting plus rear axle tube ( to stiffen the pod and help with chatter ) ( chris walker tip ) ( think gearing change helped here too )

i hope that the overly long guide doesn't hinder me in the up coming races ( kinda wish i had stayed with the Avant guide tbh . think it would have ran slightly better times without that extra  noise ) ( noise = wasted energy = bad thing )
but it just goes to show how little things can change alot . especially when we are in the 10s / 100s of thou secs

i am going to build an Area 71 Ferrari i have had in a box for 2 years for the next one ... gotta start early :)

but if shipping prices to / from the US keep going up ? hopefully not

So you dropped a tooth on the pinion?

(People described my car as 'smooth', which in my book meant 'not fast enough...')

Going down a tooth on the pinion would make it slower, increase braking and acceleration.

Round 1 - Vancouver 07/12/2023

'Tyregate' saw some dramatic changes in performance from the previous Round 0, and between Qualifying and the Race...generally thought to have been caused by changes in tyre performance.

GT3 (and previous Group 5) proxies have always been a tyre war.

yep . my cars thunderslot  tyres didnt hook up the same as Audi1's at this track for some reason ?
the comment from Alwyn was 'a little loose' . strange considering it was so planted in round 0
things may change . we will see

Ultragrips with a thousand tuning laps on them for me. Not expecting significant movement up or down the ranking with mine. But secretly hoping I can creep up into the top twenty...
