Wavegreen  Good afternoon,
it is your one handed Race administrator  Bigsmile

The SCOREBOARD did have a couple of errors due to my premature uploading.....must have been the anesthetic effect, but has been corrected now.

So the updated overall Points for Rounds 1-4

Pitlane Review Rounds 1-4
Well alot can happen in a weeks Proxy racing, and we certainly saw some good action from the videos Ade has posted, I am particularly anxious to see what happend to my hiccupping Honda Civic, is this a track anomaly or a more serious imminent breakdown around the next corner......
Anyway we will soon be finding out tomorrow when the next Round is run.

Tourist (Event 1)
1st Place - Savage GT - Mustang (75 pts)
2nd Place - Brumos RSR - Porsche 911 (57pts)
3rd Place  - RoadRunners - Galaxie (52 pts)
The Mustang still gradually increasing its lead over the others, Brumos RSR Porsche 911 had a very good run and opened up the gap between the 2nd and third place RoadRunners Galaxie.

Grand (Event 2)
1st Place - Bangers Racing - BMW 3.0CSL (75pts)
2nd Place - Brumos RSR - BMW 2.8 (41pts)
3rd Place - Green Star Racing - Ford Escort (36pts)
Even bigger lead for Bangers Racings BMW, with the home advantage Green Star's Escort was able to take full advantage and overtaken the previous 3rd place cars Deadheads Rover and Harrisons Camaro.

Super (Event 3)
1st Place - WVSAM - Nissan Skyline (48pts)
2nd Place - Savage GT - Calibra ( 47pts)
3rd Place - Mountain View - BMW M3 (38pts)
Sam's Calibra appeared from nowhere last week and has now to joined the battle for the lead in this Event, and Mountain View is back into 3rd Place.....umm this could be fun.

Modern (Event 4)
1st Place - Deadheads - Audi A5 (66pts)
2nd Place - RoadRunners - Honda Civic (50 pts
3rd Place - Bangers Racing - Alfa 156 (44pts)
Well after a short sharing of the leading position with RoadRunners Honda, Deadheads Audi A5 made the most of the mis firing Honda, and has once again extended the lead. Bangers Racing's Alfa 156 is gaining ground on RoadRunners Honda and could be good for a 2nd place challenge.

Class A Constructed Cars
1st Place -Mountain View -Astra (65pts)
2nd Place - ManxEd - Calibra ( 57pts)
3rd Place - Team Tatters - Honda Civic (50pts)
Mountain Views Astra quietly extended it's lead over the Calibra of ManxEd. A unexpected better run for Team Tatters Honda has pushed it into 3rd place.

Class B Constructed Cars
1st Place - Bangers Racing - BMW 3.0CSL (56pts)
2nd Place - Mountain View - BMW M3 ( 47pts)
3rd Place - Deadheads - Audi A5 (41pts)
Bangers Racing BMW keeps the lead but Mountain View's BMW back into 2nd place with a great run on this Round. Deadheads A5 remaining in 3rd place.

Class C Constructed Cars
1st Placed - WVSAM - Nissan Skyline (51pts)
2nd Place - Savage GT - Calibra (48pts)
3rd Place - Hotlap - Calibra (42pts)
Taking the double lead in Event and Car Class, Sam's Calibra is looking strong, Savage GT Calibra hanging onto 2nd place and Hotlap's Calibra drops to 3rd.

Best Team

Savage GT only just holding onto the Team lead with both cars of Bangers Racing eventually getting up to speed.

Fastest lap Round 4

Ok folks, that is the standings at the moment, but hopefully tomorrow we will be starting the 5th or halfway house Round, with a possible 6th on Monday.

So it is over to CMOTD for the wonderful Conington Park Round 5  Sun

Conington Park has been run  Thumbup

Cars all transported back to Roughwood for todays events. The track has not been run for some time, so after I cleared the dead bug husks the messy blinkin' spiders leave behind, not too mention their poop, I tested with one of my ex-club cars.
Grip isn't great, so the initial runners will benefit from having a very planted front end to keep them in the slot !

One car needed some attention, and has now been sorted, another was making some noises yesterday but seems fine when tested with a 9V battery this morning and no obvious problems I can see, so hopefully will be fine in action.

I am now off to enter the teams on the track PC in readiness for Brians arrival in a bit.

Why only the 'initial runners'? Isn't grip going to be the same for everyone? I would have hoped you'd done hundreds of cleaning laps with your own cars before the first proxy cars went on track.

Perhaps worth doing some verification runs at the end to ensure no early runners were unduly penalised by changing track conditions?
We really need to be sure we have a level playing field.

Apologies for the delay with the last two videos. They were recorded on a different device and I've been having issues with the format. Long story short, three different video editing programmes and a very long-winded file conversion later, and Round 4 Event 3 footage from Viking SCC is live:

Re concerns over track grip.
I ran around 30 laps after cleaning with the hoover and feather duster and then when Brian arrived we retested with an NSR shod Carrera to ensure grip was up to scratch.
We have a tight schedule with 2 Proxy races over 2 days with 2 of us and I am satisfied we had a level playing field.
If you feel otherwise, you can lodge a complaint with Graham and I will happily agree on whatever he decides.

I will wait until Brian has posted the Conington Park results before I post Roughwood's, to keep it all in order.  Cool
