7mm is a bit narrow, I'd be trying to get 9mm's on

It’s a lot better than the original 5mm

Next time,,assuming the rules are similar, I will send the other Imp, which runs at 1.1mm ground clearance and is a sidewinder. It will give bigger cars a fun run.

Umm………..”assuming the rules are similar” next year is a long way off
Mind you I have thought of a couple of names for a potential Autumn Proxy next year.
“The Great Classic Car Slotting Proxy” or perhaps “Goodwood Revival Slotting Proxy”
But plenty of time to change my mind before the end of this year.

Goodwood revival...sounds plasticy and false to me, like one of those Rally 'parades' for cars that never rallied in competition like the Audi Group S
...stick to period to keep it authentic

Just catching up with all the chat as I'm on holiday. Love the variety in all these different proxy ideas. Gives me an excuse to buy/build more car and expand my range of cars. I only have 80's stuff onwards, but a dedicated vintage era proxy would give me an excuse to get some other era of cars.

It's a perfect storm of being a child of the 80'/90's, being relatively new to the hobby and having no dedicated vintage era Class at the club. I do look at some of the older cars with jealousy

Get something put together, take it to the club, if others think it's cool they'll follow suit.
