Having deliberated over my 2nd car entry, I have decided to put in a Galaxie  for Event 1.

Sadly there are very few entries in this class once again , actually this is my of favourite era, so I was hoping for a great parade of classic touring cars. So I have opted to boost the numbers with my own entry.

I have thought about attempting to set up a historic cars only proxy or a kind of “Goodwood Revival” series in the future…….but then we might struggle to get enough entrants to make it worthwhile.

I thought long and hard about doing the same thing Graham but the Audi was already built and just needed finishing off.

Maybe do a poll, yes there's a bit of a shortage of competitive RTR options in your 1958-68 list so a lot of work needs putting into an appropriate runner here if you fancy something exotic...but I'd definitely be up for Historic/Goodwood revival and I'm sure other MSCC members would also.

Looking at the car list for Event 1, I have the basis for some of those, but time was against me bringing them up to scratch this time round. I like the idea of an Event 1  Goodwood theme!

I'll be honest, I was THAT close to sending the Rally proxy XK120 Jag with a 22k motor in...but it's now my #1 car on Rally nights (that's every 5 weeks) so I wanted to get a lot more use out of it rather than sending it off for another few months.

Well Yes .. the parts in the post is backup plan A.
Plan B has been decided on working with what I have available and ready to be built to the rules, but as far as I can see that would make it the only entry of its class in that era ... so hoping for plan A parts to arrive soon !

Sounds like your Class B car has some really obscure parts in it
