Originally I said 1st September for final arrival date, however I possibly can accept until the Saturday 2nd September latest, after the weekend the cars will need to be on their way to Isle of Man. Any cars which do not make it by the Saturday will have to wait until the 2nd Round to be sent on to catch up with the others.

Here we go then...

The Capri enjoyed it's time as a shelf queen, now it needs to earn it's place in my race case.

The Alfa is only my second ever white kit, but this event was the perfect excuse to get the rattle can out again.

Alfa looks good...the front end looks less than the required 1.5mm ground clearance though or is that the camera angle?

It's the inverted base it is sitting on. It looks about OK to my uncalibrated eyes...probably.

Track clearance is related to chassis and motor, as this constitutes a tremendous performance advantage, especially the motor, as “ magnetic traction” is greatly enhanced at track heights above the metal contact rails in the 1-2mm range the former being probably around 10X times stronger than the latter for any given motor. And our proxies tend to be using a combination of plastic and wood (non magnetic) tracks.

Outer plastic body or protruding body screws under the 1.5mm clearance are more likely to be a performance disadvantage as on the plastic tracks there is more chance they might catch on any raised sections of uneven track joints …..or in my case the curved track underpass section on the Carrera track.

In reality, it's whatever Slot.it designed it to as I haven't changed anything and I only ground a smidgeon off the rear tyres.

Ah, just had a peek at the rules, so the body can be just clear of the track....better revisit my chassis design, as the body is the highest centre of gravity I'm losing out.
How are you going to measure chassis and motor ground clearance if there's less than 1.5mm all around the car?

Wavegreen Good Morning,

well so far I received 13 cars out of 40, so a reminder that  Time is running out and we have 16 days left before the official start of the Proxy.

I have had a quick look at the cars received and run them on my track to make sure they are runners, which mostly they are.
I will be taking a more critical check as from now on regarding compliance.

And in particular I would like Oxo Cube to contact me regarding the lack of body parts on his entries....

But here we are at the moment
