Race Track Lab

Published by JasonB on Apr 26, 2026

Race Track Lab is a free browser based slot track designer.

Being web based, Race Track Lab requires no download or installation, and can be used on any device; desktop, laptop, tablet or phone. It supports Scalextric (SCX), Ninco, Carrera, Policar, and Scaleauto tracks, with Scalextric (UK), 1/43, and HO to come.

The system provides real-scale measurements, multi-lane layouts, inventory management and a community circuit library.

I’ve checked out Race Track Lab myself, and it seems well designed, intuitive, and simple to use.

Silverstone was the very first race, in the first ever the Formula One World Championship, making it the oldest F1 track in the world. On the 13th May 1950 Fangio, Farina, Fagioli, Parnell, Bira, Rosier and Chiron took to the Northamptonshire track for the first race of seven in the 1950 World Championship of Drivers. We have a bumper pack of Scalextric track plans covering the whole history of the circuit.

Scalextric 412P #220 Targa Florio 1967 - Herbert Müller & Jean Guichet

The Swiss Fillipinetti car was one of just two Ferrari prototypes in the 1967 Targa Florio. The works P4 was driven by Nino Vaccarella and Ludo Scarfiotti, leading the first lap of ten, before local legend Vaccarella crashed it into a village wall on lap two. That left the privateer P3/412P in control of the race. But a failing differential meant that Porsche took the lead on lap six as the Fillipinetti car limped to the pits to retire.
