Roncole Verde Vintage meet Oct 2021
#1

One of the oldest and longest running vintage meetings is happening on the 16th and 17th october, in Roncole Verde, Italy.

This was originally slated for 2020, but postponed twice due to the pandemic.

The class is open top cars - including f1's and Indy, for cars made pre 1972, and that date applies to the models as well.

So it is Mobday after what has been a wonderful weekend, not just because I won 1/32nd, but honestly because of the kind and warm welcome afforded to me by nearly all the participants. The comeraderie during the off time, the Sat evening dinner was wonderful.  It will definitely not be my last foray here.

The 2 tracks in this absolutely fantastic venue are really good. Wooden for 1.24th and Ninco for 1.32nd.

Some of the participants, as well As the Cips. Format this year was a little different.  It was a commemorative event held in the late Pietro Razzano honour. Al, his old cups, withe original plaques were re-purposed For this event with additional plaques commemorating Him and the even. A cup was awarded to every finisher based on an average of the 2 scale racers you entered.

The workmanship on display at this event was in many cases just out of this world.
