Well, I did give my Avant/Mitoos Truck a run and managed a 65.115 sec run with a Fastest lap of 6.492
I found it more eratic to run than my Merc, but it was out of the box as such without any Mitoos chassis adjustments.
But in the Spirit of the Dakar Rally, I will take my version to the Whitchurch Round on your behalf and if it beats me Merc, so be it.
The motor type is actually the same as fitted in yours, so should be comparable in motor power terms.

And in regard to the Odyssey with the Mitoos chassis, I replaced the plastic pinion gear and the car easily ran around the track in a time of 53.65 seconds with a fastest lap of 5.782
So very different from the Mini and visually the chassis of both look similar, but the Mini Mitoos chassis is slightly longer wheelbase and the whole vehicle with the body weighed an additional 20grams.
Hopefully the Mini will run better elsewhere

I think this guy from Spain had a really good product, and why he suddenly stopped making them I don't know.
With most of his trucks the Cab and body was fabricated from Plasticard, and the chassis was CNC cut from sheets of Glass-Fibreboard.
Because of this particular shape of the Merc Cab it was made from a slush moulding by a friend of his.

The guy on facebook I bought my truck from was called "Mammuths"
Still has a facebook page but it has not been updated for a couple of years.
