Global Touring Cars Challenge -Rounds & Results
#21

Wavegreen Good Morning
so today it's Super-Touring Cars

A question was raised about the identity of the Demon Tweeks Porsche 911 run in the previous Event.
It is actually a Porsche 911R which run in the 1967 Marathon de la Route Road Race.

Let’s keep racing, but thats not a ‘67 911R it’s a 72-74 RSR minus the ducktail spoiler which is eligible for the proxy.   I’m the one that asked about it as I take 911 to mean 911s or T and didn’t think RS or RSR as there are differences.  My ask was for RS bodies and others to remain eligible going forward.  I’m pretty technical in the 1:1 world of 911s so I will need to inquire on specific 911 models going forward.   Race On

That A4 looks fast and the Volvo huge

It looks like a case of Fly using the same manufacturing mould for convenience, and then marketing the models inaccurately, which I guess is not too surprising. However I believe the entry was made in good faith without the in depth knowledge of Porsche models of the period.

And the entrant maintained the dimensional measurements of the wheel/axle widths in accordance with the rules.

Wavegreen Good morning

So today is Modern British Touring Cars video, probably one of my favourite Classes as there is very little difference between the "Slot car performance" in the models of this type. A short video of only 4 contenders

Tomorrow is " Touring Muscle Car" day

Happy to see the MG-6 survived the trip across the Pond and is still running. Very close times in this small class. Looking forward to seeing the Event 3 cars on track.
