Global Touring Cars Slot Car Challenge Proxy 2026 - car builds

Since the last proxy and a motor mount splitting on one of my Jags, I've stopped relying on screw holes in my 3D printed motor mounts.  If anything they run a bit smoother and quieter with a glued motor.

I've started gluing motors in cars with my 3D chassis that I also race at the club.

Final track day booked for Wednesday for the Sussex posse, then they will be boxed up and heading North.

Will do a reg check as well, but early warning that the little Arbaths are low out of the box, and I don't think jacking them up is possible with the size of their wheel arches. Is track clearance such an issue with low-mag motors?

Minimum track clearance is defined in the rules so it's the same for all cars.

I would be surprised if the RTR Abarth car was less than 1mm track clearance ?
But the rules have been displayed for a long time.

Quirky cars bring quirky design features with them.

Hopefully you have a more accurate measuring block than me...it's borderline.

I am reliably informed that you can get a 1.5mm washer under the Reprotec Abarth.
