Back with us again for this proxy, welcome back to Kevin. It has been a long road.... Kevin was there at the start on the "Brighton to John O Groats RoadRace" proxy in 2021 and ever since.

Gran Turismo Group
Maserati Tipo  (Class D)
3d printed body (home made ?) with a scratchbuild brass chassis
Motor SRP 20k rpm
Rear Tyres PCS

First Impressions very stable for a narrow car, and can be driven fast in most places.

Prototypes & GT
Ford GT40 Class E)
Motor Scalextric std S-Can
Rear Tyres NSR Ultra

Car under investigation - rear wheel width greater than body width.

First Impressions perhaps too light on the front, Hillclimb was ok driven carefully, but downhill was more likely to cause deslot.

Alfa Romeo 33/3 (Class F)
Slot it body & chassis, not sure if this was a RTR car or body kit decorated ?
Motor Slot it
Rear Tyres NSR Ultras

First Impressions Good  all round the Hillclimb, can be driven fast in most sections. Great car.

Welcome back to Tony, one of our great friends from over the pool, has been entering these proxies more or less from the start. He is probably the most experienced and consistent proxy entrant in the World, having entries for the last 14 years in the US, Australia and the UK. Quite what Tony makes of my rather obscure ones I am not sure, but it is great to see him hanging in there.

Classic Group
Corvette C1 (Class B)
Body Ninco
Chassis Amato 3d
Motor Thunderslot
Rear Tyres Thunderslot

Car under investigation rear wheel axle width wider than body.

Initial Impressions struggled on the Hillclimb, front too light, so tends to deslot on decendinhg hillclimb and Hump back bridge.

Gran Turismo
Corvette C3 (Class D)
Body ?
Chassis B&W scratchbuild
Motor Predator 22.5 k rpm
Rear Tyres NSR

Initial impressions very stable on all sections of the Hillclimb, very fast.

Prototypes & GT
De Tomaso Pantera (Class F)
Body Scaleauto
Chassis 3d
Motor Predator 22.5 k rpm
Rear Tyres Thunderslot

Initial Impressions very light at the front, so struggled on the Hillclimb, again decending on the hillclimb and the Hump back bridge

Ruscillo Racing
From my local club at Melton Mowbray, my clubmate had some early sucess with his entries, been a little off form recently but hoping this combination of previously entered cars might re-kindle his fortune.

Classic Group
Ferrari 166 (Class A)
Body & chassis Ninco
Motor Ninco NC2
Rear Tyres Ninco

Car under investigation, all wheels wider than body.

Initial Impresssions Great running car, very nippy and stable, could be a dark horse for this class.

Prototypes & GT
Ford GT40 (Class F)
Body & Chassis Slot it
Motor Slot it 23k rpm
Rear Tyres NSR Ultra

Initial impressions another great running car on the Hillclimb, need to be careful on the hump back bridge.

Team ALS
The 2nd of our friends from over yonder in the USA, I was not sure if Al would make it this time around as I have not received a Registration Form ... as yet. But I think he has been very busy. However his cars have arrived.

Gran Turismo
Alfa Romeo GTA (Class D)
Fly body with National Racer 3d chassis
Motor Thunderslot
Rear Tyres perhaps Thunderslot (need to confirm)

This car has an unusual guide blade with metal ballast fitted in, but they are not magnetic. Has been entered previously.

First Impressions runs very well "when running in the correct direction" and stable on all sections of the Hillclimb track. Well balanced so can be run fast.

Prototypes & GT
Lola T280 (Class F)
Body & chassis Std NSR
Motor NSR 21.5k rpm
Rear Tyres NSR I think original but well oiled as they seem quite swollen (need to confirm)

First Impressions similar to the Alfa, it was wired to go backwards, two of the 3 ballast pieces were floating around the car, there was also an issue with the braids not making contact with the contact rails. All these issues have been addressed.
And now it is running very well on the Hillclimb, perhaps a little slower over the hump back bridge than I would run some of the others. But smooth & fast in most sections.

Left rear on the Ninco Corvette May sit out if body shifts.  Wheels should be even with the edge of the fender.  Motor is a Thunderslot and I have limited hill climb experience as a proxy builder and having no test or home track for the past 4 years, forces more proxies to learn something to apply to another car or improve my builds.

The next to arrive is BAracer team

Welcome back to BAracer, hoping for good result with this proxy.

Classic Group
Maserati A6GCS (Class A)
According to Jeremy's own notes this great looking car is a repainted Carrera Model, decorated by Pete Shephard ?
Std Carrera body & Chassis
Std Carrera motor.
Rear tyres PCS
Also on the notes is a warning about "understeer !"  .... well yes, runs uphill quite well, but downhill requires some very early braking, about half way down actually  Bigsmile
So it will be a slower car on the Hillclimb stage in order to keep it from running over the edge.

Gran Turismo
Ford Capri RS2600 (Class D)
SRC body
Chassis Olifer 3d
Motor Slot it 23k rpm
Run well on the Hillclimb track, well balanced for the "Road Race"

Prototypes & GT
Alfa Romeo 33/3
Slot it Body & chassis
Motor Slot it 23K
Rear tyres Slot it N22 ?
I found the car felt fairly light on my track, so was likely to deslot at speed but smooth runner.
