Global GT Challenge Proxy
#21

Would 'fixed motor' be for chassis that don't have an adjustable motor mount?

Yes, I was searching for the correct term of phrase, but that’s it really, the same as we normally accept as a modified standard cars. The idea being that this time there would be a winner for this class of car separately in both Events 2 &3.

thought i would start the build pics
bought this white kit a while back for the HRW revo proxy
but ran out of time , so concentrated on the rtr porsche gt2 instead ,
however here we are , its finally finished
a mish mash of left over decals from previous builds to create this fantasy livery
but i am happy with the results , the 1st car i have built that looks better in the flesh than in the pics

I think with this proxy, if you choose to enter 2 cars they can be in the same Event but different Classes. Therefore if the Revos are your particular preference, you can enter a GT1 and a GT2 car in Event 1

So with two Class winners possible for each Event, there will not now be a Team award.

I will draw up some rules in the next couple of days and then generate an entrant list.
We will need enough entrants for this go ahead, so hang fire on the builds until I give the green light.

With 12 entrants we are short of the ideal number of entries, but we should still have around 24 cars if everyone sticks to the 2 cars they promised.

So I plan to go ahead with it in April next year, but as I thought the host tracks for the Road/Rally would be different than for this proxy, both could be run as separate proxies over the year rather than within a tight time frame as before. It seems to work well like that in the USA. This one could start a couple of months later but it depends on the level of interest before I "fully" commit to another one.

Regarding the Revoslot cars, what parts will be allowed to be non-Revoslot?

paint , decals , braid and bits of insulation tape to quieten the Revo rattle  Bigsmile

at least that's what i hope
don't want to start stripping parts off the supra  Tappingfoot  I've only just finished it  Angry
other Revo proxies have been pretty much 100% Revo parts only

Wavegreen Good evening,

well I had more time today to put a DRAFT version of the rules, motor and eligible car list together today.
But I am open to changes perhaps if I think they are within the spirit of the type of proxy I would like it to be run.

Just need to make up a poster now.
