Good afternoon,
Scrutineer update
I been busy today checking out the cars I have received.
In general I have all the cars running without incurring any direct penalties.
Rear tyre width on a few were... well a little swollen lets say.
Tyre diameters are really not that practical to measure on an assembled models, and a few to the eye looks more than 1mm difference, so I will keep them as pending a stewards enquiry until the end of the proxy. And if they are in the leading positions I will open them up at the end to see if penalties are applicable.
Everyone's cars have the correct minimum amount of track clearance so far.
The car width has been adhered to apart for one car which with the teams permission was adjusted to meet the rule requirement.
And we had one car accidentally fitted with traction magnet, which has been removed with the permission of the entrant. When the magnet was in it exceeded the motor magnetic force spec quite dramatically
All interiors and body decorations have been acceptable.
And the guides appear to be as recommended.
I have started measuring rpm on the running cars back wheel using a tachometer, which has been interesting, one car seems to have slightly exceeded the max 23k, I measured 24.5K (although it was declared as 21.5k which is correct according to the brand tech details) on the registration sheet. My set up may not be perfect in this aspect, although I am working on improving the consistency of this testing.
So in general very pleased so far......
I am not wishing to apply any penalties, so fingers crossed for the rest. The proxy should be about fair competition & fun and not looking for minor discrepancies to disadvantage entrants.
