Tony, yes it will be a component of the “ Results” google spreadsheet which we will use throughout this Proxy competition this time around. Additionally my scrutinising checks will be added.
So all the entrants entered technical details, my scrutinising report and Championship results on one spreadsheet posted on the leading page of a new thread once the Proxy starts.

I have two standard cars I would like to enter, but the rules are now leaning towards permitting performance modifications in all classes, so not sure if is is worth the effort of preparing the cars for this one in the limited time I seem to have available at this time of year if they have no chance of being competitive.
(I'm feeling a bit grumpy after a long bike ride...let me think about it for a few days!)
From experience we get very few “out of the box” cars entered and most entrants want to improve the running of their entries. So it is a question of what defines an “upgraded standard Class A model” as apposed to an “modified standard Class B model”.
In essence it is the chassis type, rigid chassis without motor pod adjustment would be Class A, and chassis with motor pod adjustments Class B. Additionally motor, motor orientation and “spares” restrictions accordingly.
Basically I wanted to have a more even spread of Class A, B & C cars this time, as in the Rally we mostly had Class B cars with half dozen each of the others.

That's absolutely understood, and the great news is I have found my dummy and had a good nights sleep in my pram.
Of course I will enter. They will be two standard Class A cars (with original interiors) blueprinted to within 0.1mm of their lives (and the regulations) and the results will be what they will be!
I love puttering with gears

That's great, I regard all the participants as friends (rather than just entrants), and hope that they all get a reasonable chance to shine in some way during these Proxy events. It is the main reason why I now include the Car Class awards.
Overall it has to be an "Open" Proxy slot car competition to be fully inclusive of all the construction variations we get from the entrants, but with the 2 car aspect and the Class & Event winners I hope it mixes things up enough to give very unpredictable outcomes

Many thanks to Brumos RSR for being the 1st entrant to use our new on line Registration Form.... and it works
Here is the Race schedule proposed date plan
[attachment=30970]
The yellow backgound indicates that I have received a tentative assurance that these weeks looking OK from the hosts.
It is of course holiday time, so it might take a couple of weeks to get the dates confirmed with all the hosts, and there is scope for changes to the plan to suit the hosts circumstances.
I also decided to formally introduce the idea of a testing/qualifying (non points scoring) Stage on my home track.
This will enable me to check that the cars are actually running OK and fit for purpose...or even going in the right direction
But also I will set the running order on the record sheets based on qualifying "Fastest Lap" times, which is something I quite like about the US Proxy series I have been involved in recent times. Additionally I can see if any cars are misplaced regarding the Car Class classifications.

It will be different for each club depending on track length, how you run the cars and practical time available.

I've made our guys aware of the time period, at the moment I'd like to pencil in Saturday 9th Sep.
As far as race length, our default is 3 minutes depending on the numbers of club members that turn up, for Saloons that'll be 27 laps for the quickest cars.

I think mostly hosts will be working between 2-3 minutes car run time, some will run 2 lanes for each car with 2 cars together for shorter time on each lane. For me having a 2 lane track it it is better for me to run just one lane for longer.
This is a points championship, so it is the placings of the cars at the end of each Round which matters most, the measurement used to achieve that could be overall run times or distance. Fastest laps can be recorded as a position determining measurement in the event of a “ position tie”
