So i have added the list of permitted motors, I have removed the slimline types as I don't think they apply to this series.
Also made some initial changes to the Rules as there were some contradictions regarding the change to using common motors across all Classes etc, but probably there are others I might have missed this time.

Really, I could not think in terms of what cars would benefit from slimline motors, as the most regular RTR cars would have short or long can. But I have no real objection in reinstating them if you are seriously wanting to go that way.

Some of the smaller cars would probably benefit from a slimline motor

I could understand it for early period cars of the 50’s and 60’s. But I would have thought for the 70s most of the cars are not that small ? And we are not running any LMP type cars.
But if anyone wants to use a Slimline motor (which has been previously approved) and is within the 23k rpm limit I don’t mind. Just send me a pm about which one you wanting to use. I just thought it was pointless listing motors that nobody was likely to use.

I like to keep you on your toes
It's a possibility that I may want to try, but I haven't even built the touring cars yet, so it will be a while before I decide.
I will let you know nearer the time

I am contemplating an idea for a 50’s Road Race for the future, then I could specify only Slimline motors which I think would be fun. I got the idea from a 50x50 Proxy which I am currently running a car in the US on the HRW forum.

Yes, now that's a superb idea, along the lines of the original IPS would be great.

More National than International I think.......don't really want to go down the road of sending cars outside the UK, except Iof M

I was referring to the cars rather than the proxy location, I think for now at least, the days of the grand international proxy events went after covid and subsequent events.
This GT Sports Proxy though should see good diversity as car evolution has been huge over the last 50 years.
