Pioneer question
#1

I have just bought a Pioneer Dodge Charger ( I just like the look ?) it won’t arrive for a few days and I am wondering if pioneer come with magnets fitted ?  They don’t seem a popular make but it’s just for a bit of fun. Feel free to tell me they are great/ average/rubbish !

They come with magnet, easily removed. I only have their Legends racers, which are raced magless - and love them.

Hi Charlie,

Pioneer Chargers are nice cars.

Agree that the Legends are excellent without magnets.

I recently purchased the Dukes of Hazard Dodge Charger,  and the quality control was dreadful.  After 2 slow laps one rear wheel fell off, the front axle has a ridiculous amount of movement side to side, it sounded awful (gear mesh), but atleast it looks pretty.......

I also have 3 of their Ford Mustang Notchbacks, which are great.   So who knows, but good luck Thumbup

I've just received one of the DoH chargers too and thought exactly the opposite. Car has been running tight and sounds perfect. I did say to my other half it's one of the best cars I've bought for quality.

Pioneer are actually quite a popular make Charlie but they are a small British firm so they don't have a huge range of body shapes, just 6 in total - Mustang (notch back and fastback), Camaro, Charger and Legends (coupe and sedan) - with an enormous variety of liveries.

They are a quality product, fully compatible with Scalextric etc and incorporate a DPR hatch and wiring if you want to fit a digital chip. They do have the odd quality control issue but that is par for the course with all makes these days. You can find a review of the Legends HERE.

One major thing in their favour is that they have a near complete range of spare parts readily available if your cars should need any repairs. Jules Birley, who owns the firm, is also a member on here so can easily be contacted with any queries.
