Class C - Classic Daytona
Courtney Sports Camaro was flying again.
Oaktree Racers car, having had gearing issues last round, didn't get much luck this time either.
It soon developed a stuttering with the symptoms of a bad electrical connection, but a quick look revealed solid soldering to the motor and snugly fitting guide ferrules, so I don't know what was up.
As the car was still running we decided to complete the laps as it was.
Class D - Inter Series
Once Again Courtney Sports 917/10 leaving the rest in its dust, just so fast and so planted.
My Ferrari 512M managed to secure a second, much to my relief, and Ruscillo Racing's GT40 putting in a solid 3rd place time.
Groundhogs GT40 ground to a halt on lap 21. I opened it up as I could see a lose wire at the guide area, but it turns out the wire had been soldered to the braids, meaning the repair would be outside the 3 minute time recommendation for fixing by the time the soldering iron had warmed up, sorry.
It just leaves me to thank Graham for organising the event so well, all the other entrants for allowing me to play with your cars, and all the other hosts for their time and effort.
Also, thank you Brian for helping out with the hosting duties.
It was great fun participating and hosting
Now, why have I got an itch about getting a couple of Fly Ferrari GTO's ??
