Hi Graham, yeah definitely interested but looking at the site I'm pretty sure it's this one that is in the 917/10 and others

According to my Report 3 were fitted with the Pirahna and Brumos was running the Predator.
But I will check with the entrants who fitted them
The Predator 22.5k motor is $11.99 each

Edit Reason: yep I got this wrong, CS confirms his 2 cars are indeed using the Predator motor.

Yes I read them wrong, Courtney just confirmed his 2 cars are indeed Predator 22.5k motors. So that makes the cost of the 10 motors $11.99 each + shipping $5.39 each motor = $17.38

If XE is correct, that makes it around £16 a motor (Predator 22.5k) ?
Be careful of order total so you don't get VAT, technically as long as order with postage isn't over £135 you should be OK.

Yes with these more expensive motors, looks like I can only get 8 to keep it under £135.
so that would mean the individual motor postage cost has to increase from $5.39 to $6.74 + motor at $11.99 = $18.73 per motor

There looks like there is enough interest to go ahead and order 10 motors (2 for myself) , so if you are interested please email me to confirm your order.
Hopefully they would arrive before we finish the Proxy in mid December, and they could be put in with the return of the cars. If not then there would be local UK postage added.
I will need to know by tomorrow, so that I can place an order with them over the weekend
Unless you know a 'getaround' you'll be stung 20% VAT plus handling charge which will push the cost up somewhat, if the price remains fair I'll take 3 as well
**edit** Just read the previous comments re: VAT I hadn't realised the limit was that high!! a few years back I got stung buying some NASCAR t-shirts from the States, the import charges were almost as much as the shirts and that was around the £40 mark

If I get 8 motors, then I can do 2 each for 4 persons. I have asked one of our overseas friends to see if there’s any discount possible with the retailer.

The personal limit is £135, but sometimes customs will incorrectly charge.
It must be said, I am not sure if the same applies to US imports, but as we are not in the EU I can't see why it would be different to Europe.+
There is a claim form from HM Gov, but I wouldn't expect it is particularly speedy ;)
Then you would only get the vat back, the £8 (+vat ?) post office "handling" fee would be lost.
Graham, If you have a full uptake, I don't mind giving them a miss, but if you end up with any spare, shoot me a PM.

The U.S. guys will work check in with Slotcarcorner, stay in contact with Graham and report back. We will figure out an efficient way to get motors.
