Yes, sorry to hear about the QC issues - but Sideways has been known to be bit on-and off- suppose it's the day at the factory. Luckily, our Group 5 rules allow for any motor configuration - so this might be a candidate for an in-line and I can use the AW in a future Modern LMP or GT3 project!
As mine is still at Pendles -awaiting a couple of other in-bounds, I will have to wait a bit...

Just a follow up -- Box came from Pendles and got it out the box straight away!!
Out with Mag - 'floated' front axle, Paul Gage tires on back and .05 lead right ahead of the motor.
My interior staying in - but I took it out to add some detail, including A. Hahne's helmet.
Runs very fast - right with 320i and 935's which is all I need it to do!!
Can't wait for the D&W one!!!

I like the D&W one, but I am holding off, until I can get a white kit, or even a white body and the base chassis.
Unfortunately, this time around sideways didn't release those first.
I bet they feared the white kits would undercut their livery sales as I bet that's what a lot of us are waiting for !

Yeeehaa !
White kit now available in Pendleslot, my 2 ordered :)
Only 4 left in showing stock, so get 'em while you can !
Now I plan to do 2 fantasy but semi authentic period liveries, one being a version of an Alan Mann Racing (which, to my knowledge, never ran a GRP5 escort).
The second one, I would like to do something with a colour similar to french blue, but I have not found anything in that colour and period as a sponsor/main team.
If anyone has any ideas, feel free to post them for me to steal

Hmm, Research says this Canadian Lager became one of the most popular around 1979, would fit in with that era of Group 5 (77-82).
I think this could be the one, just need to find a quality good sized flat image of the logo now :)
