sorry to say that the Porsche 904 is not allowed, as it was a car which technically was not a "Road Car" it was produced primarily to satisfy the homologation process for FIA -GT's.

The 904 Anglewinder will be hanging out at home….one day it will find a proxy to compete in.

It is indeed a great shame, but of course it should qualify for the classic class of the last of the 3 series.

Mind you I have been doing a bit of reading up for my next series of Proxy races ... Rofl

Hello Graham,
I am definitely in for the American Road Race, probably my Mercedes 250SL and if it is eligible, an SCX NASCAR as below.

Yes Leo, the Merc will qualify for Class B and the modern NASCAR for Class D  Thumbup

Wavegreen Good Morning

In order to give advanced notice for the Single seater/ open wheel Championship series later in the year, I have attached the Plan I have in mind.
The details are yet to be finalised and minor changes could still be made. But the basic concept is to run lower cost based models using either Betta Classic GP/F1/Indy "Fibre" bodies or using your Scalextric or equivalent moulded bodies with different degrees of modification or scratch building depending on the Class entered.
Class C is the more standardised class for Modern Stock Scalextric based models, with some modifications, and most importantly as these cars will be run without magnets, the basic Slimline Scalextric motor will need to be substituted with a more appropriate one. I have a couple in mind which I need to check out for practical fitting etc.

As with the Road Race, you are allowed to enter up to two cars only for any 2 of the 3 classes. Class A is split into two historic sub groups and the specific rules must be adhered to, in which of these sub groups your car is entered if you choose this class to enter.
This series will be limited to 40 cars in total across the 3 classes.

Further details will be announced when the rules have been finalised.

Hi Als,
I will put you in the list for Class B - Corvette Stingray and Class C -Camaro 68

I will send you a pm in order to get your email information, if you can think of a "Team Name" for your 2 cars, that would be useful  Thumbup

Wavegreen Good Morning,

its been a little time since I posted in regard to the general plans on this thread for the Triple Crown Series

The American Road Race is still on target for starting as planned at the end of March.

The 2nd Proxy for the summer has been slimmed down to a  Mini Grand Prix - 2 classes of (pre 68 -cars without wings & post 68- Cars with wings)
The details of this one is still under construction.

The Autumn will hopefully see the Sports/GT & Endurance Car Proxy.

And Finally after consultation with Andy of Slotracer online I am proposing to resurrect the Winter Rally Proxy naturally in the winter.

All will be based on 2 cars per entrant basis

Great to see you considering a Slot Rally proxy  Thumbup

We had a lot of fun running the WHO Winter Rally-Sprint this time last year. With our club's focus on a busy racing schedule in Worthing, it's highly unlikely we could repeat the 12-stage proxy event (until the next pandemic, maybe...). But that's not the end of slot rallying on the south coast. I'd love to host a first live slot rally event at the Barn in the next year or two. And I'm sure you'll see some smaller local weekend proxies on the layouts that were inspired by our Rally-Sprint. All using the Slot Rally UK rules and format, of course.
