Big thanks for running the cars , it has been a big variation on the host tracks run so far which is great for the event and a real test for our cars.
So glad you liked the Ferrari 250GT as well as all the other classics.
The problem with hosting your Want list gets bigger as you have the opportunity to actually run the cars as opposed to just drooling over them on line and when you get them they are not as you expected in the handling department.

We are waiting for Graham’s roundup of the scores so far. Once he has recovered from the weekends fun of slot cars he should be rearing to go, especially as his Merc has finally come good.

Wavegreen Good Morning, and yes I have recovered sufficiently well enough to update the results.

As far as the weekend racing goes, probably the lowest point of my Vintage Slot Car racing for a very long while, can't really blame the cars as many people commented on how fast they were ......in a straight line  Rofl So I can only think that the driver needs replacing  Tappingfoot

However back in our world of Proxy Racing I was pleased to see things have gone on very well without me and at least my cars have brought a smile back on my face.

Many thanks to the Woodland Fort guys who gave up their time to run ours cars without having any of their own entered, and what a great job of mixing up the field they did. Always great to see different winners on the podium from track to track, so well done guys and for sure you will  be welcome for the next series in the new year  Sun

So for the Championship Points Results Class A & B

And Championship Points for Classes C & D

Finally the Championship Team points

Pit Lane Review
First of all many thanks to Bernie for doing the oil change on my Ferrari 412P and bringing back to life, but I guess the main talking point was how come the Porsche 911 of S&P failed to perform at the Woodland Fort track, was it the Cornish Pasties or perhaps the Cider the night before  Rofl  I suspect most probably the "sticky stuff" they use to make the really fast cars go. But anyway it did appear to have quite an influence on the proceedings.

Le Mans Cars Championship Points Review
Class A - S&P Racing's Porsche 911 still ahead of Mountain Views Racing's Aston Martin Vantage but now just by 5 points after the rather unexpected events of this weekend.  And on Mountain Views home turf for the final stage next weekend, perhaps this class winner is still not a done deal. Also closing in is the Mercedes CLK (minus front grill) of the Roadrunners who seemed to relish the sticky surface of the Woodland Fort track. Also Bangers Racing Ford GT quietly bagging some important points which could effect the final outcome.

Class B- well I could see this coming some time ago, and now Bangers Racing's Jaguar XJ9 has risen to the top of class B, but will they hold onto their lead next week. Still anyone's guess as for the runners up, although the Audi R8 of Merseyspeed looks increasingly strong.

Class C- Stirling Moss (Roadrunners) appeared to loose his way at the Woodland Fort, can he make a late run against the Ferrari GTO of Mountain View, probably not I guess. Again S&P ran very well at Woodland Fort but the lights penalties again took their toll keeping them just out of the running for the winning class place. Kessel Run's second podium of the Woodland Fort Stage and first in the class was a welcome result for the team.

Class D - Mountain View Racing Ford MKIV looks like it's romping home to win this class, on home turf next weekend it is assured a win in this class.
2nd placing could go to either Team Tatters Ford MKIV or Merseyspeed's Ford GT40 MK1. The Roadrunners Ferrari 412P just to far behind to make 2nd place but could reach 3rd if the fortune smiles on them.

Team Points
Mountain View Racing of course are well on target to win the Championship, with only their own home circuit to run. However 2nd place is less predictable with S&P Racing, Roadrunners and Bangers Racing all easily able to take this position.

So next week we are off to the Final of the Le Mans Cars Championship at Mountain View Racing track, it is a Policar track so the cars should find quite good grip on this home circuit.

And once again many thanks to our event sponsors

One funny story from the evening was during a night race the shout went up "WHEEL OFF" and a wheel bounced onto the floor and into the darkness, "Which car was it?" came the cry, as all the cars were still circulating as normal.

After the race the lights went on, floor was searched and wheel was found, it was the spare wheel off the side of the Allard.

Please tell me that it isn't the limited edition FlySlot re-chassied [Image: sweating.gif]

It was not a limited edition as far as I am aware I just like my cars competitive rather than shelf queens, slot cars were born to race IMO ????
But it still looks good when racing and it took a lot of time to get it right particularly the cockpit ...
Don’t mention the slot it lights which were a pain as there is not a lot of room under the wings for them to fit and work without catching something ... like the wheel ???
I really enjoy running her and I have another one to race tune, the red Goodwood Surtees ... chassis from Angelo.  ??? no lights in this one though ?

I'm with you all the way on that Paul, I've only got one car that hasn't raced (yet)

This is what Pendles say about your car (which is out of stock)
