The only disadvantage of a proxy is that you're not able to tweak cars between stages, I swapped the tyres on my Corvette at the last minute before posting (the old ones were a little on the low side) but I didn't have time to re-true  the new ones, I'd love to do it now, and maybe take the fight to the AMG.

Well done on the smooth running of the stage.

Wavegreen Well Folks, mostly everyone negotiated Rodney's Raceway without to many breakdowns. The cars will rest up over the Bank Holiday at Boycies Garage and then they will be on their way back to Harlequin Garage at Nottingham for the half way Stages.

So the results for Stage 4

And the Team Points for Stage 4

The full results are attached as a PDF file

Congratulations to Woodland Cornwall on their 2nd placing for Class B & 3rd placing for class C. Similarly congratulations to Green Star Racing for their 3rd place (corrected) placing in Class B. Great to see more challenges for positions at the top.

Tomorrow I will issue the updated placings for Stages 1-4

Out of interest what tyres are you running? MAD Racing's NSR Aston is on the standard 'supergrip' tyres it came with (and a little bit of home truing on some wet'n'dry as I don't have a truing maching). I ordered some 'glued and trued' tyres but got the wrong size, and then some 'ultragrips' which arrived the day after I'd posted the cars for the event! I'm wondering if the AMG Mercedes is on ultragrips?

My Corvettes is on 2 year old Ultragrips, taken off my Slot-it Alfa because I needed a little more ground clearance.

Hi,
The NSR AMG is on 2-3 year old supagrips on the standard 17 rims.

The car is pretty standard spec except for the soft blue chassis and NSR rally guide with spring.

What was the track length and number of laps for Rodney's Raceway? Intrigued to work out average speeds - cars were definitely running quicker at MYST Raceway than in the first two stages!
Quote

Hi,

Rodneys Raceway was 4 laps.

Track length was about 50ft ish.

Voltage was 12.5v and I used a DS 35 ohm controller with a DS lap counter.

Top 2 cars in Class B were using King 21K, the 3rd place car was using a Avant Orange motor.
Cheers
Phil.
