Time for the drivers to relax enjoy the scenery  Beer  And on Thursday the road ahead looks smooth and fast, should be good run for some.

But I suspect there is bad weather ahead  Saturday, on Rodney's Raceway

Myst:
Ninco track,
No "bottoming out" or "too wide" guide blades.
Flat, no bouncing out of the slot
Nice , smooth &  flowing with good straights.

Sun

Time to stretch those long legs girls.
Chase those NSRs down !
Let's see if that tall gearing pays off on this section.

Lots, it looks like a motorway section of the route and we don’t have motorways in Norfolk!  Rofl

Wavegreen MORNING ALL, NEWS UPDATE

What a start to the Roadrace.

On Saturday - A delayed start caused by a power-cut in Brighton, meant that the Video coverage and electrical  timing systems were knocked out  for a period of time. But this left further time for the spectators to get up close to the cars and perhaps wager on which ones would be the victors.
Eventually enough of the good old fashioned hand stopwatches were found to bring down the green flag and let the cars loose on their way towards the North.

Madeira drive should have been a relaxed  drive out onto the highway, but we still saw some breakdowns that put some teams on the backfoot.

However at the end of the "Madeira Drive" stage though it was victory for;
1st place :Class A- Lamborghini Aventador ( Kessel run) , Class B- Mercedes AMG (Team Demon) and Class C- Porsche 911 Carrera (Team Bangers Racing)
2nd place: Class A -Aston Martin Vantage (Team Demon), Class B- Renault Clio (Mountain View Racing), and Class C -Ford GT40 (Yellow Devils)
3rd  place: Class A -Mclaren MP4-12C ( miketheslot69), Class B -Opel Calibre (Yellow Devils) and Class C -Ford GT40 MKII ( Team Demon)

Team points were awarded:
1st Team Demon with 61
2nd Kessel run with 39
3rd Bangers Racing 37

On the Sunday on the "Devils Dyke" stage driving became more difficult around the notorious (but popular local beauty spot),  the severe hill climb caused more breakdowns and perhaps it was more of a day for the smaller cars especially in the C class. The well known black cat of Devils Dyke was also sighted on a number of occasions  Rofl
1st place: Class A- Jaguar XKRS (MAD Racing), Class B -Mercedes AMG ( Team Demon), and Class C- Ford GT40 (Yellow Devils)
2nd place: Class A- Ford Focus ( Sanditon Motorsport), Class B -Aston Martin Vantage (MAD Racing), Class C- Porsche 914/6 (Woodland Cornwall)
3rd place: Class A -Ford GT (Lifeboats Racing), Class B -Corvette C6R (Woodland Cornwall), Class C -Ford GT40 MKII (Team Demon)

Team points were awarded;
1st MAD Racing 55
2nd Team Demon 47
3rd Yellow Devils 37

So overall we saw many changes to the cars and therefore teams fortunes.

Sadly it has proved too much after the Hillclimb for the Class C Mini Cooper S (Cornfield Garage) who have decided to retire their car, but perhaps another time.

And certainly there are a few questions;
What happened to the Class B- Corvette C6R on Madeira Drive ?
Had Stirling Moss (Mercedes 300SL) taken a wrong turn on the Devils Dyke ?
Will the Class B- Mercedes AMG be out paced on the MYST Raceway ?

So for the overall positions so far;
1st place: Class A- Jaguar XKRS (MAD Racing), Class B- Mercedes AMG (Team Demon), Class C- Ford GT40 ( Yellow Devils)
2nd place: Class A- Subaru (Bangers Racing), Class B- Renault Megane (Mountain View Racing), Class C - Ford GT40 MKII ( Team Demon)
3rd place: Class A -Aston Martin Vantage (Team Demon), Class B-Opel Calibre (Yellow Devils) and Class C- Porsche 911 Carrera ( Bangers Racing)

And overall team points
1st Team Demon 108
2nd Yellow Devils 73
3rd MAD Racing 71

Very difficult to predict anything at the moment, looking forward to seeing what the next two stages will reveal  Thumbup

After a short delay by DHL, the cars have arrived at Myst ready for Stage 3 tomorrow. Thanks to Phil Field (hotlap) for bringing them over and unpacking the large white box.

The Whitehill Park track is a flat Ninco stage, with fast and medium straights linked by a variety of compound curves ranging from R1 to R4. As with the Abergavenny Proxy Rally of last year I'll be running the cars anti-clockwise on Green lane.

Here's a closer look at the layout (click to zoom in):
