I used one of the Pedemann Online 'papercraft' start ramps as a template, built it out of foamboard and added my own graphics. The Pedemann site (and other scenic resources) can be found in our Slotcar Alley here: slotracer.online/slotcar-alley/index.php#scenic-section

And these are the twelve 1960s cars in the Historic Memorial Road Race...

Cube Racing - Ford MkII

Team Demon - Ford MkII

Yellow Devils - Ford GT40

I would really love to see my Mini racing bumper to bumper with those big American cars, but I am at the very early stages of trying to understand how to set up the little blighter, so it ain't going to happen any time soon!

I love puttering with gears

Wavegreen Class C, our memorial Historic Road Race "Tour de France Automobile" 1950-1979

First the 50's

Roker Roar - The Lotus Elite first appeared at the TdF race in 1959, this replica model looks like it was made with a Supershells body and DS Design chassis with a Scalex motor fitted ?
Ruscillo Racing- The Ferrari 166 MM was commonly entered in its day at the various Road Races, first appearing in the TdF in 1950. This replica model is a Ninco fitted with a NC2 motor
Roadrunners - The Mercedes 300SL was run in many road races of it's day. First appearing with this number driven by Stirling Moss in the TdF in 1952. I used a Scalextric body, added the decals replaced the chassis with a 3d chassis in line with rear axle suspension and a Flat 6 20k motor.
MAD Racing- Jaguar X120 was another popular Road racing car first appearing in the TdF in 1951, this is a Ninco model fitted with a NC2 motor.
Racing Replicas- Porsche 356 appeared also in most popular road races of the day, also  first appearing at the TdF in 1951. This is a Ninco replica with a NC2 motor

Then the 60's
The Ford GT40 very successful car first entered Road Racing in 1964, and appeared in most of the popular events of the time.
Woodcote Racing - Scalextric std
Cube Racing- Scalextric Std
Team Demon - NSR car
Yellow Devils- Slot it with NSR motor
SSRC - Scalextric Std

Rokers Roar - Ford Falcon 1964 - Scratchbuilt from a George Turner kit and scratchbuild chassis
Lifeboats Racing - Ford Galaxie first entered TdF in 1963, this replica based on Professor Motors body and scratchbuild chassis.
miketheslot69- Also running a Ford Galaxie
Woodland Plymouth - Ford Cortina MK1 appeared first in 1963 at the TdF road race. This replica based on perhaps a Revell body with DS chassis and NSR motor.
Green Star Racing -Triumph TR4 - a 1963 entry to the TdF road race, this replica even has a co pilot with a miniture  map of our BTJOG Road race  Thumbup
Cornfield Garage - Morris Minor Cooper S appearing first at Road races as early as 1962, but did not appear at the TdF until 1969. This replica is the Scalextric Monte Carlo version.
Scuderia_ Turini - Mercedes -Benz 230SL made a Tdf appearance in 1964. This scratchbuild model was assembled from a Scalex body, modified chassis and Scaleauto motor

The Tour de France 70's to come next

And finally we have the "Tour de France Automobile"  70's cars

Bangers Racing - Porsche 911 Carrera appeared at the TdF in 1973, this scratchbuild replica was assembled from Scalex body, Slot it HRS chassis and a scaleauto motor
Woodland Plymouth - Fiat Abarth Spyder first run at the TdF road race in 1973, this I think is a SCX body with a 3d chassis.
Kessel run - Ford Capri 2300 first appeared at TdF in 1972, this replica is a SRC model
Woodland Cornwall- Porsche 914/6 first appeared at the TdF in 1970, this replica is also a SRC model.
Wes Patel Racing - De Tomaso Pantera similarly appeared at the TdF in 1970, this replica is a MSC/Scaleauto model.
Mountain View Racing - Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm first ran in 1970 at the TdF, this model is based on a Fly body with 3d chassis and NSR motor
Finally Brumos RSR - also running a Porsche 914/6 SRC model.

Many thanks again for Andy's hard work in presenting all the entries for the Brighton to John O'Groats - slot car Road Race 2021

There are some stunning cars in Class C; great work by all involved in each entry  Wrench .  Looking forward to seeing my tiny TR4 and the Mini lining up against the big ford Galaxie's  Rofl
We almost need a stand-alone class for the GT40's/Mk11's!
