Brighton to John O'Groats Road Race -Proxy Event 2021 REPORT

Wavegreen Hi Folks,

Yes a great firsts set of standard Scalex cars presented in a superb way by Andy.

Rokers Roar Team from Sunderland - with a BMW 125 & 2 Class C cars to follow
Bangers (No Cash) Racing Team are from Stoke on Trent - with their Subaru Imprezza and Class B & C cars to come.
Cube Racing - from Burnley - showing one of their 2 Fords - Also sporting cars in class B & C
Ruscillo Racing from Melton Mowbray - showing their Chevy Camaro - Also cars in class B & C
miketheslot69 are from Liverpool- with their Mclaren (and driver) and have a 2nd car in class C
Woodland Plymouth  naturally are from Plymouth and apart from this Ford Mustang also running 2 cars in class C
Kessel run are form Hertfordshire and runnng the Lamborghini Aventador (with driver) and cars running in class B & class C
Lifeboats Racing - Another of the Sunderland Teams are running the 2nd Ford GT and have cars in class B & C
SSRC are from Woking running the Ferrari F430 with cars also in class B & C
Scrapyard Racing (Our web site designer) running this Porsche 911 and have a car in class B
Lumberjack Motorsport (Canadian Sponsored) running this Ford Escort Cosworth and have a car for class B
And Scott Sports Racing - from Whitley Bay running the Skoda Fabia and also running a 2nd car in class B

Woodcote Racing (our SlotRacer sponsor) - from Brighton with the Renault Megane and cars for class B & Class C
Sanditon Motors also partners of the above Team from Brighton with the Ford Focus and a class B car to follow
Cornfield Garage are from East Sussex with one of their 2 Bentley Continental's, the 2nd in class B along with their class C car
Woodland Cornwall are of course ( as you guessed it ) with their Mercedes CLK  and will be also showing their class B & class C cars later
Team Tilney are our Norfolk team running the 2nd Ferrari F430 and have also a Class B car to come
Green Star Racing are from Herne Bay and are showing the 2nd Subaru Imprezza and will be later showing their Class B & C cars
MAD Racing (arn't we all) running one of their 2 Jaguars, this one the XKRS, the other in class C & class B car
Team Demon from Hereford running their Aston Martin Vantage and have cars in class B & C
Wes Patel Racing are from Broxburn in Scotland and showing the 2nd BMW 125, and have a car in class C
Scuderia_Turini (not from Italy) running the Porsche 911 (with driver), and has cars for class B & C

Roadrunners (finally it's me) from Nottingham with the 2nd Mclaren MP4-12C, and also with class B  & class C cars

Glad to see what look like some other big cars to accompany my Bentley.

Will be interesting to see how the big/little car battle ebbs and flows across all the different tracks (on the basis that all the motors are similar?)

In order of showing is;
Bangers Racing , modified Honda Civic - Scalextric body with 3d chassis and AW motor (Boxer)
Cube Teams Renault Megane-  Powerslot- in line motor
Minnis Racing- Modified Ferrari 365 GTB- Fly body with a 3d chassis and AW motor
Ruscillo Racing - Peugeot 307 with Ninco in line NC5 motor
Kessel Run - Modified Renault Megane with Slot it HRS chassis and AW motor (Boxer)
Lifeboat Racing - Carrera with in line motor
SSRC - Scratchbuilt Mazda MX-5 with in line motor
Yellow Devils - Opel Calibra- Slot it body with 3d chassis AW motor
Scrapyard Racing - Toyota Corolla- Ninco with in line NC1 motor
Lumberjack Motorsport - Ford Mustang FR500 (with driver) -Ninco in line NC11 motor
Scott Sports Racing - Mini Clubman 1275- (with what I guess is a repainted Scalex body ?) and 3d chassis with in line Scalex motor

If any of the teams wish to elaborate on their Open class modifications, or even correct my assertions then please do so, as some cars where a little difficult to visually determine the exact nature of the modifications made.

Green Star Racing - De Tomaso - Scaleauto - looked like an Avant style motor (probably wrong with that one)

Mountain View Racing - Renault Clio - NSR AW motor
Roadrunner- Koenigsegg CCX-R, I assembled this from the new TA71 Carbon fibre kits (Pendle) with NSR AW motor (paint job should have been better, but it was very cold when it did it, so done in a hurry - perhaps will get a respray after this event is finished)
