Iain - absolutely! It was an unfortunate error... Those wheels do look great, but slightly skinnier tyres are needed. It was very quick!

Nostalgia T-Jet Eliminators

Top qualifier Iain had a bye in Round One - the first race was between Ken and Rebecca...

This was close - Ken starting well but fading at the end. Rebecca closed the gap, but not quickly enough - Ken's winning margin was 0.036 seconds. The ETs 0.765 and 0.783.

Andy gave Bill a good run, but the Torino won by 0.045 seconds. Their ETs were 0.806 and 0.846.

The sole Round Two race was between Iain and Ken - and would decide who'd meed Bill in the final...

The form was turned on its head here - Ken's Challenger put together a sensational run and set a time Iain would have been delighted by. The Chevy was sluggish off the line and took time to get going. Ken won by 0.073 seconds - the ETs 0.675 and 0.745. Definitely one of the quickest T-Jet runs we've seen.

That gives an all North American final...

And this is what happened...

Ken bossed the start...

And the entire strip...

A great win...

Huge congrats to Ken on his first RCR medal win...

Here's the ladder...

And the stats...

Nostalgia Magnatraction Pro Stock Eliminators

A fine field of seven cars lined-up for the eliminators. Top qualifier Nico sat out Round One - the racing started with Andy and Iain...

It was a comfortable 0.278 second win for Andy's Rat Pack Camaro - the ETs 0.665 and 0.930.

Rebecca's 'California Flash' Camaro beat Clive's Nomad by a big 0.379 seconds - 0.652 to 1.004.

The third and last Round One race was a bit closer - Ken's Camaro beating Rose's Challenger by 0.141 seconds. Their ETs were 0.779 and 0.917.

The Semi Finals began with Nico and Andy...

This was close! But Nico has enough at the end - finishing 0.016 seconds ahead. The ETs were 0.633 and 0.647.

The two second-gen Camaros looked great at the start. They ran close, until Rebecca showed Ken a clear pair of heels - winning by 0.097 seconds. The ETs were 0.662 and 0.757. Rebecca would face Nico in the final...

But it wasn't quite enough...

A surprise win for a delighted Rebecca...

Nostalgia 4-Gear Funny Car Eliminators

A full eight-car line-up gave us four Round One races...

Top qualifier Iain dispatched Clive's Mustang by 0.312 seconds. Their ETs were 0.705 and 0.809.

Fourth vs fifth qualifier was closer - Rebecca's Mustang beating Andy's Pontiac by 0.030 seconds. The ETs 0.802 and 0.815.

Bill's Vega finished 0.133 seconds ahead of Jerome's Challenger. Their ETs 0.727 and 0.850.

Finally for Round One, Nico's Vega beat Ken's 'Cuda by 0.126 seconds - 0.737 to 0.854.

The Semi Finals began with Iain and Rebecca...

As expected, this was a routine win for our top qualifier - the winning margin 0.105 seconds and the ETs 0.705 to 0.809.

The second semi was incredibly close! The crowd had no idea who'd won it... until the scoreboard showed victory for Bill by 0.003 of a second - 0.732 to 0.739.

The top two qualifiers would contest the final...

And this is what happened...

It was neck-and-neck in the early stages...

Until Iain powered his way across the line...

A 0.034 second margin at the end...

Congrats to Iain, who finally gets into victory lane...

Here's the ladder...

And here are the stats...

I'm going to get qualifying done for the remaining two classes - Super Stock 6.0 and NHRA 4-Gear. I'll then run the races about 8.30... Super Stock will go first - 4-Gear could be one for the night owls.
