 hello folks, back for the under the bonnet photos

First we have the Class A winners







                    

So top 3 Scalextric were sidewinders; coincidence, gearing, motor orientation? Anyone familiar with Scalextric know/have an opinion?

Most of the cars in this class were sidewinders, so probably not a fair comparison in that respect. 
The nearest in line motor car was the Honda Civic BTCC car which overall was running mostly in 4th, but manged a couple of 1st place's.
In general you would expect the sidewinders to have the edge, but in this class we only had the one in line that was truly on form.

Wow great pictures to end the event .. in line v sidewinder in scaly wasn’t sure on a plastic track there would be a lot in it .. 
however in Class A it looks like the Aston Martin of Phil’s had the look of Baku Redbull Max’s tyre wear..?
How and where did that happen it was intact when it left Wales?..
