So has anyone noticed the pinion difference in the Ford and the Alfa?

I guess not, so what is it?

9/24 on the Alfa, apparently Revoslot have said the 12T on the Escorts is a mistake...12/24 is not going to be a good ratio  Tappingfoot

12/24...huge top end but limited acceleration & brakes.

12/32 is the same ratio as 9/24
12/24 would be the equivalent to 9/18

On reflection the 9/24 on the Alfa is way too low, brakes are ridiculously strong which tells me the pinion is too small or the spur is too big.  I've changed to 10/24 for tomorrows racing, the car should be smoother and I should have control over the brakes that doesn't exist with 9/24 as it's all-or-nowt.

12/24 with these small diameter tyres may work well.
