Interesting.
It amazes me that todays moden magnatraction race drivers believe that weight is all bad. Note I said 'all bad'
I have often added weight to cars to being a balance back to the distribution of weight accross the chassis. And especially if the track braids have no magnetic or very low magnetic attraction.
Chris I love how unbelieveably neeat and precise your work is - and that is also reflected in the weight placement and shape - very nice as usual!!!

While there are still a couple of rounds left, it appears that my "heavily leaded" Thunderslot is doing OK in the CanAm proxy............
Bear in mind that this proxy is run on wood tracks only, so unlike most of the plastic track racers, the cars do not get any magnetic effect downforce,.....and at 74gms. it likely nets out at overall less weight than cars run on tracks with steel rails , with the magnetic downforce of the motor magnets.
(At 74gms. it is in the middle of the field weight wise).
Cheers

Additionally, the top 7 cars also are powered by motors that produce 22k or
LESS RPM. The #333 was in 3rd place until it could not find grip in race #6 and is the top running Lola Spyder. It weighs in at 72 grams on my scale and is my heaviest Thunderslot which
was faster than my Mclaren that I entered last season.

I can,...........I used some 21 x 11 NSR Ultra's (non Evo formulation),....trued to 19.5 mm.
I have since been playing with some of the Scaleauto "AS25" tires, and on a very recent Thunderslot M6 build, I have used some 20 x 10's with very good results.
Cheers

And are those on the original (14.3mm?) TS air hubs? Were they a not very tight fit?
