but hold on a moment ..... does this event also have the top 5 finish HRW proxy criteria ?
same as the GT3 or is it open ?
if so .... would a proxy run on this forum be eligible ?

Kev, you must place in the top 5 of a proxy that has at least 20 plus participants and comprised of at least 10 races I believe

Yes, the GT3 is open and has a shootout.  Check out the reveal videos on YouTube, also my recommendation is that you start building your car now so that you have the bugs worked out come race time.  My plan B is built and my plan A needs a body.

 yes i intend entering the GT3
but a top 5 placing 1st time out could be a big ask 
qualifying would be a good mile stone for the 1st attempt ,,, but you never know 

was wondering if the top 5 criteria was only for HRW run events or encompassed other proxies like the ones ran on this , and other forums ? ( or am i just looking for a back door here ? )

I believe they had to be an open event...I think someone got in on their Wye Valley proxy result.

Yes gentlemen you can enter the World Championship Proxy if you have placed 5th or better overall in a national proxy series that had more than 15 entries and 5 races in the series (onus would be on the entrant to provide details).   So yes this includes a slot car proxy series on any forum, any country, as long as it meets this criteria.  Simple!  The hard part is to finish fifth or better in a proxy series!
