Andy,

Thanks for the heads-up! Exactly what I needed.

Will Nico and I be able to match-race our old AFX cars in November?

Rumour has it we're racing for pink slips. That used to be for ownerships. Now because of inflation a pink slip only upgrades your fries at MacDonalds.

We have a large lot of GO track that we make into a 4 lane 19 foot figure 8.  It’s just for family fun.  Started with 1/43 when they were younger since bigger cars are easier to handle plus they are slower.  We have built several muscle car bodies on GO chassis.  Trans-Am Cuda are my favorites.

Wow. That's a very long wait...

My cars are released by customs today. Will have to pay abother 36€ as they do not believe that this was no purchase by me..........

This means I will not send cars anymore to Proxy Races outside the EU, as Austrian customs will charge me for any re-entry of my cars which is total crap!!!

I was unable to clarify the situation to them (they simply don't believe me), so sending and recieving cars would cost me 50+€ per race........

I am really sorry, but this is way out for Proxy Races.........

I will stay on the Forum of course!!!!!

That's really sad Nico. When petty bureaucracy gets in the way of having fun, something is wrong. For all the problems with UK Customs, they have given us clear instructions of how to label packages to avoid extra charges.

On a side note, I am still trying to get a refund of £70 from UPS, who retrospectively - and incorrectly - charged me £90 to post some cars to a US proxy. They admitted their error in March, but I still haven't seen my refund, despite a fortnightly call and email... I agree, all the postage issues can spoil our enjoyment.
