EVENT 3 RALLY LEGENDS
THIS IS MY TYPE OF ERA! REALLY INTERESTING TO SEE HOW THE NORMALLY DOMINANT PORSCHE 914/6 MODELS WOULD PERFORM ON THIS STAGE. UP AGAINST THEM ARE A TRIO OF BRITISH LEYLANDS FINEST, THE TRIUMPH TR7, AND A VERY WELL PUT TOGETHER FIAT 131 ABARTH. ADD IN AN ALFA GIULIA AND A FORD ESCORT, THIS SHOULD BE GOOD
As it turned out the normally dominant Porsche 914/6 was indeed quickest. Savage GTs example so quick, and a pleasure to drive. We'll done Tel
Less than half a second back was the excellent Fiat 131 Abarth of RoadRunners, with BARacers mighty Triumph TR7 sneaking 3rd from another Porsche, this time JamesVWs pretty example, which appears to have shaken its crew senseless already!
Only issue with this category was the Porsche of Courtney Sport, which struggled its way round the SCX track, no de slots, but it didn't really like it much. I am sure it will much prefer the following Tarmac Stage. My own TR7 was underpowered, Scott Sports Escort was quick, whilst the Alfa disliked the tightest bends. Team Cubes TR7 required a smooth and steady approach, possibly due to it being left hand drive
