Another field of seven cars again saw the top qualifier sit out the first round. Nico would meet the winner of Rebecca vs Ken in the semis...
You can't get much closer than this! Rebecca's Life Like M Chevy pick-up looked to have just held on, but the Team Ken Tyco Chevy crossed the line just 0.004 seconds ahead. Their ETs were 0.639 and 0.642.
Bill's Tyco Corvette made mincemeat of Andy's Life Like - winning by 0.141, their ETs 0.509 and 0.650.
The last of the first round races saw two Tycos battle it out - Clive's Corvette beating Iain's Superbird by 0.110 seconds. Their ETs were 0.558 and 0.669.
Semi-finals
Nico joined the fray to meet the Team Ken Chevy in the first semi...
A blistering 0.474 second run gave the tie to Nico by 0.173. The Chevy's ET was 0.646.
The second semi was very much closer and was very exciting to watch. The cars ran almost side-by-side on a similar pace - but it was Bill that grabbed the win by 0.035 of a second. the ETs were 0.519 and 0.552. It would be Bill vs Nico in the final.

The first final for this new class saw the top two qualifiers lining-up two Tycos - one a wide pan, one a narrow chassis...

Definitely an interesting first run for these cars - and plenty of work to do before their next race at the Spring Nationals next March. Nico has certainly given us a benchmark to aim for!
