Definitely some mouth-watering races coming up, although maybe not the first one...

   

Unsurprisingly, no need for Nico to worry about this one - his Jag cruised past Rebecca with a 0.079 second win. The ETs were 0.631 and 0.703.

   

Jane vs Clive was incredibly close - a winning margin of 0.007 seconds. Clive's ET was 0.621 and Jane's 0.622 - but a hole shot for the Nissan meant Jane crossed the line first!

   

Bill always looked the winner in this one, although Kev was only 0.028 behind at the line - their ETs 0.634 and 0.661.

   

The last of the second-round races was the closest - a mere 0.001 of a second separating Andy and Iain on the line... Andy's ET was 0.639 and Iain's 0.646 - yet this was another hole shot win, Iain's Porsche hitting that finish line beam a fraction earlier than the Crown Vic.

That meant the semi-final line-up was Bill vs Iain and Nico vs Jane - the top four qualifiers...

   

This was an exciting race to watch! Nico led from the start, but Jane was closing - a case of who crossed the line first... The scoreboard gave its verdict: Jane by 0.011 of a second - the ETs 0.608 and 0.626, the finish line speeds 7.490 and 7.102 mph.

   

Remarkably, the winning margin for the second semi was identical - 0.011 seconds. While Iain ran him close, Bill had this under control and led from start to finish. Their ETs were 0.623 and 0.631.

That set up another Bill vs Jane Street Stock final...
