The rules had quoted 1.5mm for the minimum clearance. I know I had built my cars close to this and had seen no clearance issues on any of the tracks. I don't have a problem if it is better to go to a 2mm clearance, but possibly the BMW issues were note solely down to track clearance alone.

I agree that timings showed a home advantage link, and that the method used to curb this, in the previous proxy gave too much penalisation of hosts. However, there are other methods to bring the home/driver advantage in line with performance across the other stages. This is something which needs to be developed when going through the timings from this event. Then an application method that can be applied on completion of the stage, not at the end of the rally. After all, the hosts are only hosts for 2 of the 12 stages, so I am sure they would like to see their times balanced across the other 10 stages.
