Hello, what a great days driving, really on the edgeAnyway as to todays official results, please see attached PDF files
After a couple of days full of activity the cars will be resting up at Boycies Garage in Hereford before they will prepare for the next leg of their journey.
There has been a few breakdowns along the way from Brighton which has caused some cars some delays, but most performed better around Devils Dyke than many had feared. And some cars were able to make up for lost time after Madeira Drive.
Will it be all smooth driving from here on, who's to tell.
Tomorrow I will publish the combined accumulated times and points for both these first 2 stages
PS. just to mention that today the Ford GT40's did not have it all their own way, certainly the 2 NSR based cars did, but the 3 Scalextric Ford GT40's were out performed by some small Nino 50's cars. So it depends very much on the type of track design and of course the type of Slot car construction. A Scalextric motor is not going to out perform a NSR one, but it is always difficult with these competitions as to where you draw the line without putting off too many would be participants. As you say this is a learning curve, but I am also very satisfied with the degree of competitiveness that we are having so far.
