TBH, I have an el cheapo ninco pinion puller and press.
Not the last word in engineering by a long stretch but its done the job for several years no issue
There are many clones of this around, such as: Pinion Press/Removal Tool (GM665) (pendleslotracing.co.uk)
If you can find one locally in Portugal it will be an inexpensive but useful tool
