Reference: "Like I said this was just a thought while doing the dishes. I have never run a proxy so wouldn’t know the issues involved, just with so many people enjoying this rally it might give us something to look forward to and could turn in to a yearly thing? "
Before there is a mad rush of people offering to host events, lets get one thing straight - it takes a lot of time and commitment to get the event run promptly:
Checking the cars when they arrive.
Ensuring that the track/layout is robust.
Having a reliable timing system.
Running the cars in a fair way so as not to disadvantage any.
Tightly administering the event so that the cars do not get mixed up.
Feeding back some details to the entrants and assembled spectators.
Publishing photographs so that the entrants feel engaged with the event.
Essentially, consider it as a job to be done in a professional manner.
