Today i received notice to pick up 4 parcels from the post office,3 are from USA, more news tomorrow

Things are not normal here, schools,universities,organised beaches,restaurants,malls,theaters,museums..... are closed.Only shops selling food ,raw or takeaway,medicins etc are open and there is control to those who enter,in pharmacies for example max 2 persons allowed in the shop at any time the rest waiting outside at 1,5 metres distance from eachother.We are up to 238 coronavirus cases ,4 deaths.Being in the high risk group i avoid going out as much as possible.Under these circumstances i excpect serious delays in postal deliveries (my last order from Pendles took twice the average time to arrive)and most cars to arrive late,I am sure we will not be able to run the first round as planned not so much because of late arrivals but because of people (me included) being afraid to be exposed to the virus.Local club championship is paused.Dont panic, i consider it a force majeur case and will make sure every car is present and everybody is safe before we start

Yes, we live in strange times...   UK government have announced that its likely that it will be compulsory for all over 70s to self-isolate.  That will hit the slot-car scene hard. 

Take care, health is the top priority and we are all in the same situation.  Supermarket behaviour is totally bizarre, gloves, cleaning the trolley handle and not standing too close to people.

Its a fact that covid19 had  and still has a serious impact on all aspects of life.I have been waiting to see if things would improve but it seems this is not the case.In our country things are quite good (total deaths from start ~190 ,daily new cases <50) but there are worries now that the borders are open and tourists have started coming.From the other hosting countries news are mixed,IOM virus clean,UK has ups and downs,Australia and New Zealand look good and USA seem to be in trouble.My other concern about IPS is postal delays.A small packet  sent to US on june 16 has not arrived yet as another one to Scotland posted on july 4.In the good old days it would have taken 2 weeks and 6 days respectively.Another one posted to UK on june 10 arrived on the29th.2 cars returned to their owners undelivered which is akward since being  in the high risk group myself ,i very seldom left home.It seems unlikely for IPS 2020 to happen,so we must look to IPS 2021 hoping that covid problem will be solved.

So what i propose is to  run as many rounds as possible (5-6,on different tracks) in Athens  in, lets say , a couple of months so that entrants can have an idea of where their cars stand and send the cars back.It is not an easy job because people and (me) are very cautious now that the borders opened up and we are geting small but increasing numbers of covid contaminated people from abroad.I will have to run some rounds solo,my cars will run but will not get points

If someone need their car immediately it is fine with me i will post them  next week 

Return postage cost is euro 11(US$~12) the rest of the entry fee will be refunded.
