#31

There's loads of old racing photos on a facebook group called 'Old Motor Racing Photographs - Australia'.

Lots of amazing cars of all shapes and sizes and modifications.

Wavegreen Good Morning

so today its the Larger Touring Car Event 3, and I am showing the Class E (Muscle Touring Cars)

Before I get a debate about the Ford Galaxie not being a "Muscle car" I am well aware that this may cause distress so some purists, although researching back no one seems to be exactly sure as to when the term was first used historically, in some references even talking about some 50's cars in that way,  I have in some people's eyes taken abit of af a liberty  Talking

But this proxy is a generic one in which I have tried to group similar Touring slot cars together.
So if you prefer, it is a video of 4 Trans Am & Bathurst Muscle cars and a Ford Galaxie.

There isn't a definitive definition of a Muscle car.  We had this argument years ago on a 'Muscle Car' night.

I'd say a Galaxie was more a 'muscle car' than a mustang or camaro as they were called 'Pony cars'.

Graham, you defined the classes so that's all that matters  Thumbup

Nice run builders! Graham, that’s an incredible Falcon you have built we will see how the series shakes out soon.  And yes, I sent a Pony car to a Muscle car battle.  Looking forward to the fun.

The Falcon was more like an “old nag” than a pony in the previous Bathurst proxies in “ Aussie” land, so hoping at last the car can redeem itself.

And so the Shoot out results after Classes A-E

So would you believe the Leading car of Class E and the shoot out so far is Roadrunners Ford Falcon  Cool

It is DTM type car class tomorrow, will the Roadrunners still be the fastest car......I think not, but who will it be ??

I'd fully expect the class E and F cars to be fastest as they're the widest, followed by class C and D with class A and B being the slowest as the narrowest cars.

Wavegreen Good Morning,

So here are the Event 3 Class F DTM type car video, actually 10 cars but although all the cars were run the video of Fiery1 BMW 635csi somehow was missing, I just have a snapshoot of the track on that one, so I guess the I forgot to put my phone into video mode.

So after all of that the full list of fastest times are as below

In the event of a tie in points  between 2 or more cars in the same Event at the end of the 8 Rounds, this Shoot out result will come into play.

As a departure form the normal racing format we will look to run the cars from slowest to fastest regardless of Event/Class, to make a better racing experience for the hosts and hopefully on the videos but the points will be awarded after each Round as we normally do seperately for each Event (or car types) The Round Podium winners will be displayed for each Class of car at the end of each Round.
