After quite a break, I have decided to have another run of the RAID proxy.
Here are some previous photo's of the "Extreme Slotting" series.
I am hoping to enlist the help of our team of Hosts again, and there might be some coordination with other Raid car events which are being proposed.
Here is my initial Rules proposal, which will probably need refining beefore we start.
List of cars up until 2005
I would be grateful for any comments or suggestions and support.
And any prospective interest from entrants please add your name below please.

Is there a reason why 'drop arms should have a reach from the bottom of the tyres to the track surface of minimum of 5cm' for R2, R3 &R4 vehicles?

This is because the Pro Car RTR models provide this gap for being able to maintain braid contact on some of the more challenging obstacles (eg SCX ramp and suspended bridge tracks)
The Category 1 vehicles will be the only ones not required to run over these obstacles.

I did wonder if that was the case.

Excellent idea...let's have some fun!
Inserts...Mitoos wheels are the finished item and perhaps don't require inserts, as per the 'Staffs Rule' for the Touring Car Proxy?
I love puttering with gears

Yes a good point, Staffs or Mitoos wheels are quite acceptable.

A few years ago we toyed with the idea of a Raid class with it's own track, trucks were bought, a temporary track made... and that's as far as it got.
I have a Ninco Schlesser, a couple of SCX trucks, a Mitoos chassis with a Hummer body plus a spare Mitoos chassis all without a track to practice on.

Very exciting Graham! The previous two extreme slotting proxy events were fantastic.
Great list too.
