Chappyman,
Interesting conversion to get a unique car, can you show some pics from the CAD file highlighting the changes from the M6 please.
Cheers

It's mostly the flat surfaces behind the driver.....I didn't mess with the front end at all.
Put the little scoops on the sides. that's about it. I just looked at pictures and tried to make it close.
If you want the later model you will need to add the wrap around spoiler at the rear.

March 707
March 707 (one of the cheese dish shapes I can create without scanning) designed in CAD as shown below,
then, printed.
Front winglets have been removed from the shell and added to the chassis so as to facilitate the chassis using them as outriggers (wood track use) in lieu of a front splitter.
AW boxer chassis being refined and on the printer soon.
Cheers

Cro-Sal Cheetah Conversion
Shown elsewhere on this forum is my version of the Bill Thomas Cheetah created by scanning an old resin shell.
Finished car
Having been racing this at my local club with some success, and was itching to create something similar, when I came across the Cro-Sal special version of the Cheetah which was the only open top racing Cheetah. Going back to my CAD file I looked at various options to create the open top, i.e. remove the roof and re-profile the rear deck, and ultimately after several iterations decided the only way to do it was to cut the rear of the car off from the cockpit backwards then redraw the entire rear.
Cut & shut
It is not an accurate version but gives the flavour of the coupe so happy with that, and below is the 1st print, painted up and trial sitting on my Goodwood IL Boxer chassis from the original Cheetah.
FDM Printed using Elegoo PLA+ vertically at 0.1mm layers
