if it is arches, as a google search result suggest, then I think 68mm is way over width for 1/32 car, I don't know of many cars that are 2176mm wide ... a Greenwood Corvette is pushing 2083mm at the rear which scales down to 65.1mm.
According to the CSCRA rules 68mm is permissible for the body width of Can Am cars of the era, I have measured a Carrera Porsche 917/30 which is 67.5mm body width which I know is basically accepted as being in scale for these type of cars. Fenders in my mind are the front and rear body mouldings or in old fashion terms the “ bumper front and rear impact protection mouldings”
The body width measurement is normally made across the widest parts of the body, chassis, wheels and tyres, wheel arches can be accepted outside the limits if can be shown to have been wider on the real car.

As I said I will go with whatever you decide as the host.
It does appear maybe the Carrera Porsche is a little wide (research suggests 65.6 ish mm), but the Ferrari is pretty much correct, much to my surprise
Try getting one of those in your 60's UK garage

The rules are much the same as last years "InterSeries" except for todays limit to 10mm tyre width ( last year it was max 14mm).
So your Ferrari should do well again, I am not sure that Courtney will be entering with his superfast Porsche 910/20 as he has been very busy this year, so your chances are probably significantly improved

That's assuming I enter that class, TBH I am leaning more towards the later year classes.

I have decided to suspend this Proxy for now, until we see what the end result in the current ongoing saga with the Touring cars proxy is clear.

I think I can safely assume that the Touring cars Proxy will be completed in December.
So the GT Sports Cars Slotting Proxy appears to be on again for the spring, probably starting in early or mid March, once I have sounded out the hosts for next year.

As I start to ponder what I would like to enter, I have a question as I noted this in the rules:
Only inline or sidewinder motors are allowed in Class A
That would rule out a chunk of potentials, for example a lot of Ninco GT cars being non podded but AW.
As always, I am fine with whatever is decided but wanted to check before I make my choices

Yes, it is intentional to limit Class A cars to in line and SW cars. So Ninco cars with AW motors will be included in Class B.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
I have made the final changes to the rules and posted the revised document "Final Rules" on the leading page of this proxy thread.
The main changes are:
Front axle alignment attachments or hollow tube fixture are allowed on the Class A Cars.
Overall width requirement is the body width or rear axle/wheel width (which ever is the greater ) If wheel arches are wider than the specified body width limit, the wheels must still be no wider than the maximum body width.
No paper wheel inserts, they must be solid or cast into the wheels.
Ninco Anglewinder RTR models will be Class B models.
Additionally Event 1 Sports Cars (1970-1985) will now include Group 5 Sports cars.
The list of cars has been extended to include additional Gr5 models.
