Well here lies another problem then.
Graham, you did indeed give guidance and photos of what you classified as permissible guides for this event.
Having checked which guide my TR7 has fitted it was not a Ninco guide, my mistake. It is infact the NSR 4842 sprung guide which you said was within your guidelines. But now you list cars which have an over size guide, including my TR7, which is fitted with the very guide you said was legal? Sorry, that doesn't make sense.
The car coped OK on the first Friston Wood stage, I hope it did the same on the second run.

On 1st Feb you said guide dimensions were
Quote:The rules regarding the guide dimensions are "strongly advisable" and are self penalising if the guides fitted fail to work on any of the stages of the rounds
The standard sprung Ninco guides I have are 1.61mm thick
So we should just get on with it, it is what it is, I look forward to all the forthcoming events.

Looking forward to the next round here and the continued proxy learning especially on plastic tracks.

Not a problem for you if it works. But yes if the NSR guide is a 4842 there should be no problem

My Ninco guides are measuring 1.56mm width (thick) and work, but yes I took the point before and have amended my recommendations for future proxy's.
Mind you 1.5mm is probably still safer in this context, and some guides I measured were meeting this guideline.

Bravo and huge thanks for your first proxy hosting BARacer
The layout looks great, I enjoyed the drama of the stages and am super-pleased with my cars' performances

Well done for perservering, must have been frustrating.
I am glad my LandCrab 1800 brought a smile to your face, normally my Club mates laugh at me for being 'last as usual'

Yes I would also like to congratulate BARacer on his perseverance with his Round, virtually walking a couple of the cars around the track
RoadRunners also very much appreciated this round
After my live Rally day last week at Wye Valley Club, I am off to Rockingham Club tomorrow to try my luck with their 1/24th Open Racing day for BRM Minis and Saloons.
So I will contemplate the results on Monday and post my thoughts as usual on the Pitlane Review.
And I will trying my luck in booking DPD to transfer the cars between the hosts, as I am a little unhappy with the DHL service at the moment.
