Just as my Pantera starts to fight it's way into some kind of contention, it hits me with a DNF. Oh well, yes, please fix if possible. I'm assuming its a guide wire/eyelet and not something more serious?

Congratulations Savage GT, Mountain View and SirCourtneyS on your victories. Also congratulations to all the podium builders.  Thank you to the hosts for squeezing everything you could out of the 904 which evades the podium week after week and is a strong mid pack finisher.  Surely, it would not be there  without the drivers and marshals.   Thank you.

The Porsche 904 did manage to get 2nd place on Round 1 of the proxy, so I guess my Carrera track was probably the the most technical round with all the bends & inclines, makes me think it might be a good contender for the "Rally Cars Slotting" proxy

with the first sprinkling of snow here in Nottingham, it is a bit chilly but time for the final Pitlane Review

Pitlane Review ( Round 7)
As they say always expect the unexpected, so certainly we did not see the DNF or DNS issues appearing on this Round as the testing had seemed to go perfectly 
And the results also threw up some surprises which helped the mid field cars to catch up a little with the top runners.

Modern Endurance 24HRS
This class ran more or less to form, with the BMW V12 LMP of Savage GT again way down the road, with the AMG of Team Tatters and Mercedes CLK of RoadRunners again contesting 2nd and 3rd places respectively. 

Classic Le Mans
Similarly we saw the Ferrari 250GTO of Mountain View comfortably ahead of the field, with the AC Cobra of Bangers Racing in 2nd, but a welcome return to 3rd place for the Ferrari 250 GTO of BARacer . This time the Porsche 904 of Brumos RSR just nipping ahead of the Aston Martin DBR1 of RoadRunners.

Daytona
The next surprise was to see a come back for the Camaro 72 of Courtney Sport to finish 1st, with the two Lancia BMC's in 2nd and 3rd fron ALS Racing and Bangers Racing, definitely a break in form from recent Rounds. The De Tomaso of Bangers Racing had a surprisingly premature ending of the round which hopefully can be rectified before the final Round takes place. Similarly gearbox problems prevented a run of the Porsche 914/6 of Oaktree Racers, which hopefully can be fixed.

InterSeries
The Porsche 917/10 way ahead of the field again on this Round, very comfortable on this smooth wood track. The Alfa T33 seemed also to thrive on this Round to get 2nd and the Maclaren M6A of Brumos RSR making a return to the podium for 3rd position.

Pitlane Review (Championship)
Modern Endurance 24HRS
Looking like a fairly orderly spacing of the cars which is unlikely to be altered in the final Round tomorrow. I don't think the BMW V12 LMP was ever really challenged in the series, a really great build by Savage GT. More challenging is 2nd and 3rd positions with RoadRuners Mercedes CLK and the AMG of Team Tatters, although a little worried about the reliability of the of both RoadRunners Teams cars in regard to smelling (burning) of those NSR motors.... may give them a miss next time around. But hopefully they won't both come to a premature end on the Roughwood track.

Classic Le Mans
Mountain Views Ferrari 250GTO again an outstanding car, and have secured 1st place in this class. The AC Cobra of Bangers Racing looking  very strong in 2nd and perhaps RoadRunners Aston Martin DBR1 hanging onto 3rd (fingers crossed).

Daytona
Team Tatters BMW 320i is not looking quite so secure at the top of this class, but neither is Ruscillo Racings BMW M1 in 2nd place  as the 3rd place Camaro of Courtney Sport is flying again on the wood tracks. 

InterSeries
Well in front of this class  is the outstanding Porsche  917/10 of Courtney Sport, I though at one point may have been challenged by the Ferrari 512M of Savage GT. But most likely due to the initial circumstances lost out. The Maclaren of Brumos RSR looking comfortable in 3rd.

Team Points
Apart from Savage GT looking to finish as the best Team overall, the 2nd and 3rd positions look like unfinished business RoadRunners and Team Tatters neck and neck still , and now Courtney Sport and Mountain View have made a big jump in the Round 7 to put them into contention for the runners up, so it's not over yet 

So we finally have the end in sight, after 7 Rounds on plastic and wood tracks and on home and club tracks all will be resolved at Roughwood Tomorrow. 
This is not a Circuit that we have a run a proxy at before so with a new track design, surface and new host I am sure we will have some interesting results and it will make a fitting end to this series and of course the entire "Triple Crown Proxy" of 2022.

Good Morning all, The 2 non finishers from Connington will at least start this last round 

First up, the 914/6.
Issue was, as suspected, a slipping pinion, and on disassembly the metal filings were not a friendly sight !

   

Unusually for me, I did not have the correct size/toothed pinion, so I used some recommended glue that has successfully fixed one of my club cars slipping pinion in the past.
Hopefully it will work as well on the Porsche.

   

The Pantera wasn't a guide eyelet/wire issue, as we looked at that at the time. Once I took the body off, it was pretty obvious where the issue was !

   

Apologies, not the neatest soldering, but after trimming the wire (as it wasn't accepting solder at the original area) its now up and running again.

All the cars have now had the parade laps around Roughwood.

   

   

   

   

Wrap up warm Brian, the Shed is chilly, although it didn't help one of my heaters wasn't working this morning, its fixed now though

Yes, probably a bit of Proxy fatigue creeping in there   but I guess it will be back for the Rally Proxy next year, with or without lights

Brian and I shared driving duties, as before, Brian driving the classes I was entered in.

My version of Office is to old to open the files Brian sent me, and the free programs I tried messed up the colours and/or grids, so I just took a pic.

In the event you want to know what the comments are for your car, and cant read my writing scribbles (very likely) , ask and I will translate 
All comments meant constructively, but keeping it short meant some sound very blunt !

Some mixing up of the podium here from earlier in the week, the differing track surface and tighter bends of Roughwood favouring some more than others.

Class A -  Modern Endurance 24H

Mostly ran to form, but a welcome appearance on the podium from Team Cube.
Roadrunners motor managed to hold on to its smoke to finish in 3rd.

   

   

Class B - Classic Le Mans

Familiar faces for this class, and probably some of my favourite cars to drive irrespective of where they finished.
The second Roadrunners car that had a smelly motor, but still held it together. it also had a little bit of hopping (tyres coming unglued ?) without this I think it would have been a very close call for 2nd, but nothing was touching Mountain View's GTO this round.
