And finally Class D:

The Ford GT40 of Team Groundhogs was a DNF. It cut out near the end of it's run with a suspected guide wire failure. With the time frame so tight in getting the cars out the door to the next venue, we didn't have time to investigate before they were boxed up, so the next host will need to take a look...

Thanks to the Viking members for sorting out issues and running the cars  Thumbup

Pleased the little 512 still managed a second, I was not confident that motor had enough for a grid position.
Its nice to see the 330 on the podium, good work ALS.
Well done Courtney Sport for the Class D win.

looks to be some great battles going on in all the classes.

If you are uncomfortable doing this please contact me prior to starting. Thank you

Brumos, the glass was stuck back in (used a toothpick to apply a small amount or "Glue 'N' Glaze" across the top edge) and the interior was taped back into position.

Just as a note, the glue marks in the middle of the screen were pre-existing, either from original build or previous repair
Pre existing by me no, worries and thank you.

Wavegreen Good Morning,

Another great run at the Viking Slot Car Club. and on their new Policar track, so many thanks to the club for finding the time to run our Proxy.

The cars were collected by DHL on schedule yesterday so are on their way back up to Mountain View in North Wales for the Round 6 which is another Policar track, but this time a home based small circuit.

The Championship Points Results for Rounds 1-6 are below

I will crack on with the Pitlane Reviews this morning as we are due to start at the next Round soon after arrival.

Pitlane Review (Viking Round 5)
well it took an awful long time to get the cars to the club, but I guess they might still be delivering by horse and stagecoach in the West Country, so the Round was somewhat delayed. But we got there in the end. No doubt we will get another great video show when Ade finds the time to upload them.
The other concern was the number of repairs which our host had to make, which probably is a sign that the cars are battling hard for their positions.

Modern Endurance 24HRS
There really is no stopping the BMW V12 of Savage GT, another clean run, means that this car is way above the others. In 2nd and 3rd  Team tatters AMG Merc and Team Cube's Corvette popped up again to put in a good show. With perhaps the slightly more consistent Mercedes CLK of RoadRunners making 4th on this Round.

Classic Le Mans
Very surprised but delighted to see the Aston Martin DBR1 of RoadRunners finally making top spot on this Round. But I suspect the rather late showing of the performance is not likely to threaten the overall result. The Ferrari 250GTO of Mountain View just missing out, but a respectable 2nd place and the AC Cobra of Bangers racing making 3rd.

Daytona
Team Tatters BMW 320i appeared to make a comfortable 1st place, this time with the De Tomaso of Green Star in 2nd and the Camaro of Courtney Sport in 3rd. On this occasion Scott Sports Porsche 911 making an unusually good run for 4th place, and on the otherhand Ruscillo Racing's BMW M1 appears to have lost some momentum, only managing a 5th place. The Lancia BMC of Bangers racing seemed to have developed some running problems and could only manage 8th.

InterSeries
Another great run by the Porsche 917/10 of Courtney Sport for 1st Place. And perhaps surprisingly after their motor swap another 2nd place for the Ferrari 512M of Savage GT. Just goes to show that it is not always just about the choice of motor ... The 3rd place going to the Ferrari 330 of ALS Racing, managing to get in front of the Mclaren M6A of Brumos RSR. The Ford GT40 of Team Groundhogs coming to a sudden stop resulting in a DNF, hopefully Mountain View host can take a look inside.
