Good Morning,
Just a reminder that the Rally Cars Slotting schedule required registration by the 1st January 2023
So I will start an entrant list as from the 1st November in a few days time should you be interested in participation. Please contact me through the usual channels (email, pm, posting on our facebook page or on this thread)
The usual requirement applies, to be entered on the official list I need to confirmation of which 2 of the 4 Events you are entering cars for, I don't need at this stage to know the exact car. And I will need the payment on or before the 1st January. I am assuming at this stage it will remain at £15, but if transport costs increase in the new year I may have revise that.
I have made just a few amendments on the rules posted above, the classic Event tyre width has been increased to 8.5mm (was 8mm) as a minor concession (to account for expansion of 8mm tyres due to oiling etc, I have increased the penalty for a non-performance rule infringement from 1 to 5 points as a one off deduction by the scrutineer (to encourage the fitting of the correct cockpit code (driver & navigator etc) and Rally like livery (decals etc)

As for the 904GTS, sadly as it has a brass & wire chassis it's not eligible for the R.C.S.Proxy 2023...maybe a 3D chassis is required
Autumn Race allows brass we have 9 cars in the class. Check in w Graham
I was really hoping to compete against that 904 in the Autumn Race Kevan. If there’s ever another proxy that has brass chassis eligibility enter it. It would be big fun.

And it will still be up to the host as to if he feels that these cars pose a potential "electric shorting" risk on their individual Rally Stage, so these cars could be potentially withdrawn if they do so. I have amended the rules above.
I'm not sure that's a good idea Grah, as we've seen in other proxies brass and wire chassis can dominate small car classes which doesn't go down well with previous years entrants.
Life is like a box of Slot cars...

OK, I agree it is a bad idea, and withdrawn the amendment.

Hmm, I have bought a 3D printed chassis as I thought that was where the rules went, no metal.
Now they are allowed, shame really.
No worries, I will be my usual last anyway.

OK Guys,
I guess I made the wrong call and will withdraw the B&W chassis option form the rules.
So it will be only plastic chassis throughout.
sorry

No need to be sorry Graham, for this particular proxy it’s a great call.

I tend to forget just how early some of our most loyal entrants are in preparing their cars, as many others (including myself) tend to leave things far too long.
So in principal I should stick to my earlier declaration that the “Rules” were set for better or worse, and not try to make changes due to my dithering or overthinking things.
