My friend came over and gave the track the copper-tape treatment today. All the wires and timing system were also added and set up. It runs great.
Now I need to tidy up all the loose ends like relocating the PC on a sliding drawer mechanism, and mounting the 4-track calls hanging from their wires, etc...
Next comes the barriers and fences. Then I can safely test cars. I already had one car hit the floor today. Oops.

Driver's stations are completed.
Wiring has been cleaned up.
The laptop has a sliding drawer.
Most of the barrier supports are installed. The last of the wood blocks sitting on the track are about to be glued under the track.
It's slowly getting closer to being completed.

The outside borders were installed today. Now I need to paint them.
Several names were tossed around for the track. In the end "Infinity Motorsport Park" seems to fit the look of the double "8"s on their side.

Hi Ken,
Have you already tested the track at full speed?
Perhaps it is better to do that before the painting of the outer borders.

Running my racing eye round it looks quicker clockwise (clockwise round the big sweeper).

Hi Hub,
I probably won't test full speed until the inside sweep and overpass has a border. But it's tempting.
Hi Kevan,
Yes the track direction will be clockwise. The other way will likely deslot a lot of cars as you already noticed. I like my cars in one piece.
